                      REGISTRATION POLICIES
    Community Center Hours of Operation (Hours subject to change)
                  Mon. thru Fri. 8:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
         Sat. 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Sun. 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
            Community Center will be closed on 5/30, 7/4, & 9/5.
1. All Community Center patrons are required to obtain a photo ID card for
   admittance to city classes & programs.
2. Pre-registration is necessary for all activities & classes. There will be no
   prorating of activity or class fees.
3. Refunds will be considered if requested prior to the second scheduled class.
   A $10.00 service fee per enrollment will be assessed for all refunds.
   Requests for refunds will not be accepted after the completion of the class.
4. Program information is correct & up-to-date at the time of publishing. The
   department reserves the right to change any program information &/or fees
   as it deems necessary. Classes & times are subject to change based on
   enrollment & we apologize in advance for any inconvenience. Please call
   790-7460 for more information.
5. Walk in registration is accepted at the Community Center during the
   Community Center hours of operation.
6. Effective with the Winter 2010 registration period there will be a
   $4 non-resident fee attached to all enrichment classes.

The Community Center Gym offers adult & youth drop in basketball,
racquetball, volleyball, & wallyball activities throughout the week.
Activities also include tournaments & organized competitions for youths
& adults. Gym passes are also available. Please note, we reserve the right
to change the Community Center Gym schedule at anytime.

                   Photovoltaic Solar Carport Canopy Project
                Construction    is currently underway on the 26,000 sq. ft.
                Photovoltaic   Solar Carport Canopy Project located at the
                Community      Park, 34900 Oak Glen Road.       Doty Bros.
                Construction    Company of Norwalk, California will be the
contractor for the project.
The system will provide solar energy to the Community Center as well as the
ball field lights, reducing energy costs to the City and the carbon footprint of
the associated facilities.
Due to this project, parking at the Yucaipa Community Center/Park will be
limited. Please use additional parking off Sunnyside Drive.
The project’s estimated time of completion is May of 2011.

Mommy & Me Class: This class is a parent participation that will focus on
beginning tumbling skills for toddlers. Learn songs, relays, parachute play &

        All Good Driving School’s driver’s education classes are held on the
        internet and may be completed any time of the day or night, from any
computer with an internet connection. Upon successful completion of a course,

         Little Mozarts is classroom music instruction for four to six year olds

         All camps are designed to help participants learn and improve the skills
         needed to become successful players. The camps break down every
         aspect of the game in a fun and safe environment that enable campers
to develop athletically and socially with their peers and coaches.           All
participants will receive a camp t-shirt and sport specific ball (except for
Volleyball). No class on 7/3.

                    Biddy Ball Sports Program ~ Soccer
                       3-4 years old, 4:15-5:00 p.m.
                       5-6 years old, 5:15-6:00 p.m.
The Biddy Ball Sports Program is designed to introduce your child to the specific
     sport & teach them the fundamentals of that sport in a fun & relaxed
 atmosphere. Each session is 9-weeks in length at a cost of $45/$49 (NR) &
includes a picture pack, T-shirt, sport specific ball & end of session pizza party.
     Registration - April 18-May 20 Season - Fridays, June 10-August 12
                    Spaces will fill fast so register early!


       Adult Softball ~ $400/team + $5 per Non Resident Player
                     All teams are guaranteed 10 games.
          Games are played at the Yucaipa Community Park Fields.
    Leagues are held year round for Coed, Men, Women & Church divisions.

     Adult Flag Football & Adult Basketball in Yucaipa is back!
     Quickstrike Sports will be running an Adult Flag Football League on
Wednesday nights and an Adult Basketball League on Sunday nights. fees For

                                   KARATE
Karate: Inst. Don & Candy Miller. Learn self defense & gain self
confidence through the study of karate, aikido & judo. Ages 5 & above.
A black uniform can be purchased through the instructor for $35

The pool will be open to the public June 12 through August 15. Pool hours are
Sat. 1-6 p.m., Sun. 1-6 p.m., Mon.-Thurs. 12:30-3:00 p.m., & Fri. 12-4 p.m.

       Please note: The pool is subject to closure due
       to low attendance and/or weather conditions.

                            SWIM LESSONS
The City of Yucaipa offers a “Learn to Swim Program” throughout the
summer. Each session offers 8 lessons Mon. through Thurs. for 30 minutes
each day. Each session will offer morning and afternoon classes.

                     Tiny Tot: 3 year olds; Levels 1-6: 4 years & older

Swim Registration/Classes: Please note, registration is accepted for ONLY 1
session at a time. No refunds will be issued after the session has started. All

Private Swim Lessons are a great way to accelerate learning, build water
confidence, it provides individualized attention & assists students who may be
nervous about swimming.

                       PRIVATE POOL RENTALS
The pool is available for special occasion rentals The
rental fee is $200 for parties of 50 or less and includes
two hours of pool time and lifeguard services. Additional
fees apply for groups of over 50 people. Dates and time
available for pool parties vary.         Please call the
Community Center for scheduling options.

                             SCHOOL PARTIES
End of the year parties can be booked the last week of the school
year, May 31-June 2, 2011. Private rental fees will apply. Morning
or afternoon reservations are available.

                                  AQUATICS
             Do you want to be a member of a dynamic team? Lifeguard & Water
             Safety Instructor positions are available in the Aquatics Division of
             the Community Services Department. All applicants must posses
             current First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer & Lifeguard
             certifications.  Water Safety Instructors must also have WSI
certifications. For more information call 790-7460.

                      CAMP YUCAIPA INFORMATION
                   Camp Yucaipa is a non-licensed recreation program
Join Camp Yucaipa Summer Camps during the summer months for field
trips, arts & crafts, indoor & outdoor sports, special events, swimming and
more! Participants may attend summer camp one day or every day!
Summer Camps are available at the Community Center (34900 Oak Glen
Road) and at the 7th Street Park (33994 Ave. “E”). Both summer camp
locations will offer camps designed for children in grades K-6.
To Register:         Pre-registration is required as camp space is limited.
Registration will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
When:       June 3-August 17
Time:       6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Who:        Students in kindergarten through sixth grade
Cost:       $90/$95 (Resident/Non-Resident) per week
            $18/$19 (Resident/Non-Resident) per day
            $12/$13 (Resident/Non-Resident) per half day (6 hours or less)
   Pre-registration will be held beginning May 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
                   in the Community Center Kid’s Club Room.
 Once camps begin, registration and payments can be made at either program
site. A completed registration application and payment in full is required at the
time of registration. Camp cancellations must be received no later than 7 a.m.
      on the day you are canceling or participants will be billed for service.
  Children will need to supply lunch, snacks and refreshments daily.


               A $4 Non Resident fee will be applied to all
                 participants who do not live in Yucaipa

             Kid’s Club is structured as a drop-in, pre-pay program for

requiring Kid’s Club services will be escorted by Kid’s Club staff to the
Community Center for before & after school activities.

 Be sure & inquire about our kindergarten programs offered at the Community
Center for Ridgeview students & at Wildwood Elementary School. Students
must be enrolled in morning kindergarten classes to participate. Limited
kindergarten services are available at all other school sites.
Please Note: The City of Yucaipa Community Services Department reserves
the right to cancel any Kid’s Club program if minimum enrollment is not met.

Yucaipa Teen Center to set up a session with a tutor.

Computer Lab:            The Computer Lab is available to help teens get their homework

           The City of Yucaipa’s Community Center Has
                   Attractive Banquet Facilities
                        Available For Rent.
The Yucaipa Community Center Banquet Room with outdoor patio, patio
heaters & warming kitchen is an excellent venue for wedding receptions,
parties, seminars, meetings, & other gatherings. Room may be adjusted
                  to accommodate diverse group sizes.
        Please consider this facility for your next event.
 Stop by the Community Center at your convenience. A staff member
      will be happy to give you a tour & answer your questions.
  Please note that the Banquet Room may now be rented at a
       50% price reduction Monday through Thursday.

 The Yucaipa Community Park has picnic shelters, amphitheater, & ball
  fields available for rent. There are 9 shelters that vary in size from 4
 tables to 10 tables. So if you are planning a company picnic, birthday
party or just a Bar-B-Q, the Community Park is a great place to consider.

                        RESIDENT YOUTH RECREATION
                      SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

1. The City of Yucaipa is currently accepting scholarship applications.
2. The scholarships are available to provide family assistance to
   Yucaipa residents who are 17 years of age & under to participate in
   city-sponsored recreation programs held at the Yucaipa Community
   Center, Teen Center, lessons at the Swimming Pool, & Kid’s Club
   programs.
3. The scholarship program is funded by a Federal Community
   Development Block Grant & is limited to low to moderate-income
   families who reside within the Yucaipa City limits.
4. Scholarships will be awarded based on the applicant’s household
   meeting the current Federal Section 8 low income & very low income
   limits.
Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis for all
eligible participants.   Funds will be disbursed accordingly. This
scholarship program will cease once funds are depleted.
