A mix of luxurious fabrics including silk taffeta, printed silk organza, taffetas metal, brocade and silk chiffon portray his signature style. Detachable items, crochet lace, oversized skirts and elaborate embellishment are key this season with tones of ivory, purple, gold, crocodile green, lavender, powder pink, lemon and lime. rd ALAN HANNAH* - 23 May 13.30 Alan Hannah’s new collection draws inspiration from long summer days, sweet scents, delicate flowers, walking through meadows and fields, imagining what Vincent Van Gogh would have felt from the darkness of his soul to the beauty that he produced. ‘I have translated this feeling into long floaty soft fabrics swaying in the warm summer breeze, rich ivories with pure and romantic hand crafted flowers and beading. The show promises to be a riot of colour and drama, forgetting the recession, with dresses resembling colour, romance and happiness.’ Comments Hannah. rd AMANDA WAKELEY - 23 May 15.00 The new designs from Amanda Wakeley Sposa will feature both fluid shapes and strong silhouettes with bold embellishments. A supremely luxurious range of dresses, injecting fresh new shapes and contemporary, light fabrics. Cord embroidery is a dynamic and youthful embellishment on the bodice of a satin gown. A parachute hem gives a fresh twist to the traditional train. Gun metal chain detail trims an empire line georgette dress, making an exceptional statement. Concentrating on a fluid form more than full-skirt dresses, an Amanda Wakeley Sposa dress can be distinguished by the perfection of cut and the sensual, luxurious fabric. Emphasis on enhancing the body comes from clever draping and contoured paneling rather than restrictive corsetry. rd th SUZANNE NEVILLE* - 23 May 16.30 & 24 May 10.30 As well as the classic Suzanne Neville gowns, the new range will feature fashion forward and modern twists including floaty, organic shapes , as well as ultra glamorous, red carpet gowns for brides who want to dazzle. Gowns will feature striking, hand bead work, giving a 1920's feel to the collection. The use of textured fabrics with surface design such as tulle with roses or bark design give a botanical edge. Key bridal colours of white and ivory with some hints of pastels are seen this season. th RITVA WESTENIUS* - 24 May 13.30 Ritva Westenius’ 2011 collection is a breathtaking display of her creative talent. After 32 years of setting a standard of design excellence Ritva is producing her most dramatic collection yet. Bold striking details will be offset with clean lines and a chic serenity. Sex appeal is also high on the agenda with low backs, sumptuous fabrics and gently whisping lace. Delicate overlays in the lightest organza and chiffons float with exquisite beauty, while crisp tailoring and architectural lines balance the collection. Highlights include ravishing details of ruffles and beaded embellishment for statement pieces that ooze sophisticated old world glamour. th JOHANNA HEHIR - 24 May 17.00 Johanna’s collection is based on four stories which take influence from different fashion eras. The 1950s story sees smooth bodices over the hips with the full Parisienne skirts while the 1930s story sees an emphasis placed on back detail while keeping the body lean with fabrics in velvet and delicate diamante detail. The 1920’s look will be lots of fun with plenty of lace and fringing without losing the sophistication of the classic * Featuring accessories by Halo & Co.
