KL – LANGKAWI
Day 1 After lunch, take a walk along Bukit Bintang Street and soak in the atmosphere.
Then head back to the hotel to get ready for tonight’s programme: dinner at an authentic Malay
restaurant serving traditional Malay dishes. Enjoy live shows of gamelan songs and dances.
Day 2 A whole day out on the city streets. Marvel at the magnificent architecture of
heritage buildings and modern skyscrapers around KL. Lunch is served at a revolving
restaurant in Menara KL (LK Tower). Spend the afternoon shopping at one of Malaysia’s most
popular malls, Suria KLCC. Bargain hunters should not miss the trip to Petaling Street later in
the evening. Proceed to a private Chinese restaurant for dinner.
Day 3 Depart for Langkawi. A whirlwind tour of the enchanting island is in store
lunch. Stop at Atma Alam where guests will witness the process of batik painting before
checking out the great bargains at the Oriental Village. The village offers shopping buffs a
bewildering range of international designer labels and local products. Fascinating handcraft
demonstrations by skilled craftsmen add to the enjoyment of shopping here. Later in the
afternoon, ride the cable car for a stimulating ride up Mount Mat Cincang. Tonight, dinner is
served at a restaurant built on a mangrove swamp.
Day 4 A day sunbathing and swimming in the cool blue sea before departing on a boat
cruise up to Kilim River for a close encounter of eagle feeding at the Kilim Nature par. Enjoy
the calm river ride while trying to return to the hotel and enjoy a themed barbecue dinner on
Day 5 Depart on a luxury cruise on board a catamaran to Pulau Payar Marine Park.
Guests can go snorkeling or scuba diving in this natural paradise or choose to stay and enjoy
the remarkable underwater from the glass-bottomed catamaran. A lavish lunch buffet is
served on board. Transfer to hotel and enjoy dinner in a private room of the hotel.
Day 6 Spend the morning at leisure before departure transfer to airport for return
Day 1 Upon arrival at Kuching Internation Airport, guests are whisked away on a 4-
hour journey for a River Cruise and Iban Festival Experience. A special festival which has been
planned by the Ibans is modeled on an ancient ritual of welcoming the successful hunting
expedition. A sumptuous Iban dinner, accompanied by generous amounts of tuak, a potent
rice wine is served. Afterwards, participate in a traditional war dance, or the Ngajat. Overnight
at the longhouse.
Day 2 Wake up early for a refreshing walk in the jungle and try blowpipe shooting. For
those who prefer to laze about, take a dip in the cool, refreshing river or observe the natives at
their daily chores. Depart for Kuching late afternoon and stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
Day 3 An early breakfast is followed by a tour of historical Kuching. Visits to the
Astana (palace) and Fort Margherita are included. Stop for lunch at a Malay restaurant serving
spicy Malay cuisine and a magnificent view to boost! Shop at the antique dealers and the
handicraft centres until late afternoon. For dinner, enjoy a sumptuous Chinese banquet
accompanied by entertainment provide by a traditional Chinese orchestra.
Day 4 Take a leisurely drive to Damai. Spend the day swimming, cycling or enjoying
beach or water sports facilities. Barbecue lunch is served on the beach. Mid afternoon,
transfer to Santubong for an enjoyable downriver trip to an ancient trading post on the coast
where tea and refreshment will be served. Return to the hotel for themed dinner.
Day 5 Hop on a water taxi and take a leisurely cruise on the Sarawak River. Late
check out and transfer for flight out.
Day 1 Arrive and be whisked away to an exclusive resort in Kota Kinabalu. Adjourn for
lunch in a private room before departing on a historical tour of the city. Just before an early
seafood dinner, head over to Tanjung Aru just in time to see the beautiful sunset.
Day 2 Depart for a day of fun in the sea at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Marine park.
Swim, snorkel and dive to your heart’s content. Make a quick stopever at the Philipines
Market for some shopping. Return to the hotel and enjoy a first class dinner while being
entertained by traditional songs and dance.
Day 3 Depart on an early morning journey up to Kundasang. Upon arrival, tour the
Kinabalu National park. Covering 754 square kilometers, it promises to enchant naturalists
with rich flora and fauna. Later, journey up to Poring Hot Springs where guests can soak in
the curative waters of the hot springs or stroll the treetops on the swaying canopy walks.
Check in at a hotel that offers a commanding view of the majestic Mount Kinabalu. Dinner in
Day 4 Depart for Sandakan and travel to Sepilok Orang Utan rehabilitation Centre for
an up-close and personal encounter at these fascinating primates. Witness a session of Orang
Utan feeding by the rangers. After lunch, travel to Sandakan town and check-in hotel. Dinner
at hotel. Entertainment is provided by a professional group of traditional dancers. Afterwards,
participate in a bamboo dance, the Magubnatip and a traditional blowpipe competition.
Day 5 After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight departure to Kota Kinabalu. Check
in resort. Drinks and refreshments served. The rest of the day is time for sightseeing,
shopping or relaxing in the hotel spa in Sabah. Dinner this evening in the hotel.
Day 6 Departure transfer to airport for return flight.
