 Carbon offset Program

HELPING YOU TO REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

THE PROBLEM
Carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere whenever fossil fuels are used. Transportation in general
has been identified as a major carbon emittor worldwide and aviation in particular is increasingly in the spotlight as a contributor to the
growing amount of CO2 being released in the atmosphere.

This fact is attracting the attention of the media, environmentalists and regulators around the world.

OuR SOLuTION
The Bombardier Carbon Offset Program through ClimateCare, a recognized world-leader in carbon offsetting, is a simple, effective and affordable way
to offset the emissions created by your Bombardier business aircraft.

the Process
Using existing data compiled by a third party research firm (1) , the volume of CO2 produced per flight-hour by your aircraft has been
calculated. The number of metric tons of carbon produced in a given mission can then be offset, via Voluntary Emmission Reduction
(VER) (2) credits, through Bombardier’s unique partnership with ClimateCare.

With offices in the US and the UK, ClimateCare is a leading offset provider that funds and manages projects that reduce greenhouse
gases, on behalf of individuals and companies. Rather than investing in single projects, ClimateCare funds a worldwide project portfolio
to maximize the impact of your carbon offset investment, while minimizing the risk.

Where Your funds go
ClimateCare invests in low-carbon technology projects that focus on three particular areas:
   • Renewable Energy – finding replacements for non-renewable fuels such as coal, gas and non-renewable wood sources
   • Energy Efficiency – using less energy to provide the same amount of utility
   • Methane Capture – turning harmful methane – which produces 23 times the warming of CO2 – into a useful energy source

Hassle-free administration
Bombardier Aerospace makes the administration of its Carbon Offset Program easy and seamless. You will be charged a predictable
monthly fee, based on a flight hour rate for your aircraft model, that works out to approximately $30 - $70 per flight hour(3) , and we will take
care of the rest. Via the same billing system currently used for our Smart Services monthly flight-hour payment programs, such as Smart
                                                                                                    TM

Parts Plus, and Smart Parts Engine Coverage , you need only report the monthly flight-hours to be offset. The total carbon generated from
             TM TM

the reported flight hours is then calculated and offset through ClimateCare.

Customers already enrolled in Smart Services will simply see an additional line-item on their monthly invoice. New customers can easily be
accommodated on this well-established administrative platform.

Through ClimateCare, the Bombardier Carbon Offset Program adheres to strict project principles:

additionality
ClimateCare will only fund a project if it would not have gone ahead without their assistance. This means that all the emissions
reductions paid for by your participation in the program go over and above what would have happened without their intervention.
This is why ClimateCare chooses to invest in developing countries, as they do not have sophisticated climate change policies in place
and are constrained by lack of access to capital.

avoid Double Counting
All countries that have signed up and ratified the Kyoto Protocol have legally binding targets to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
We believe that our customers want their money to fund CO2 reductions that go over and above those that governments are already
required to make. That is why ClimateCare funds projects outside countries that have legally binding commitments under the Kyoto
Protocol.

third party verification
For each project, ClimateCare involves a third party responsible for setting out the project baseline. The third party also provides
ongoing monitoring to ensure that the expected emission reductions are being made.

Project standards
All projects funded by ClimateCare are being developed to internationally recognized standards, such as the Voluntary Carbon
Standard and Gold Standard Voluntary.
