Welcome to American Safari Cruises where discriminating travelers embark on voyages that combine comfortable
yet elegant yacht cruising with adventurous activities. Our sleek and nimble yachts allow us to access some of
the most intricate and remote passages. Our yachts meld with nature, unlike typical charter yachts to which many
people are accustomed. We’re free to wander into unnamed coves, unsung vistas and passages less traveled to
explore and discover along with you. Our group size, ranging from 12 to 36 guests, also complements the experience
because we are able to go ashore without fanfare or fuss. We enjoy the sincere welcome of local guides and residents
who offer us the gift of their friendship along with their knowledge. Our itineraries are flexible, allowing us to
maximize wildlife viewing or other opportunities that arise spontaneously. We anchor each night, ensuring that
nothing is missed along the way. Onboard the yacht, a professional crew handles every detail, from the moment
you step aboard until your departure. And year after year, our guests tell us of lasting friendships that began
    aboard our yachts.

Excellent service, engaging people and places, elegant surroundings—this is American Safari Cruises.
We look forward to embarking on these voyages with you.

                                       More Time in the Wilderness
If you could handcraft the details of a yacht cruise, would you include spectacular scenery, abundant and up-close
wildlife experiences, time to relax, excellent customer service and opportunities to learn with engaging experts
and local specialists? Would you add fine dining and tasteful accommodations? Might you also include kayaking,
beachcombing, sailing, snorkeling and hiking? If so, then we invite you to join us for the voyage of a lifetime. The
array of services and activities included in your cruise allows you to simply come aboard and leave the details to
us. Your decisions will be between kayaking with your Naturalist or reclining with a good book (of course, you
could do both), or between a crisp chardonnay and a smooth cabernet sauvignon. And at the end of your cruise,
there will be no extra charges for any of it.

                                                      Individual and Group
Traveling to new places is inspiring. We travel to experience new cultures, climates, food and wildlife. The one
element, however, that seems to elevate a travel experience from good to great revolves around the people we
meet and interact with along the way. We offer two types of dynamic experiences: book individual staterooms to
meet new friends or charter the whole yacht to deepen bonds with family, friends or associates.

Each year, with American Safari Cruises, dozens (no, not hundreds or thousands) of friendships are born. Shared
experiences reveal shared interests, and as the days flow by, we discover what we like about other people while
we embrace the culture, wilderness and wildlife that we came to see.

Well-known and discriminating travelers, Kate Winslet and her pal Emma Thompson, described their 2009 Alaska
charter of our 12-guest Safari Spirit as one to be treasured, remembered and never forgotten. “We have been utterly
overwhelmed by this wonderful experience,” Kate wrote. “Thank you for introducing us to an unbelievable new
world. Every second of this trip has been mind-blowing. It far exceeded my expectations and every little detail was
thought-out and wonderful. This is the kind of holiday that leaves a foot-print on your soul.” Thompson called the
yacht “bliss, utterly gorgeous and so comfortable.” She remarked on the crew’s enthusiasm and the harmony they
created. “ ‘Thank you’ is inadequate,” she said, “and our gratitude is boundless, like the beauty of this trip.” Just
seven months later, they echoed these sentiments at the end of their follow-up charter in Mexico’s Sea of Cortés.

        An Exclusive Two-Day Journey

                Glacier Bay
    Exclusive Hands-on Exploration
Glacier Bay, accessible only by air or sea, is recognized as a biosphere reserve, established in 1986 under the
United Nations Man and the Biosphere Program. In 1992 the 3.3-million-acre park (about the size of the state of
Connecticut) also became a World Heritage Site. Here, 15,000-foot mountains rise straight out of the ocean and
massive glaciers flow across the landscape, covering thousands of square miles. Grizzly bears raise their young,
moose browse among the alders and mountain goats scale the cliffs above. Seabirds roost on rocky ledges and
whales and porpoise forage in the nutrient-rich waters of the bay.

With American Safari Cruises, you will spend two days in Glacier Bay National Park, not merely cruising past
the astounding scenery, but stopping to go ashore or kayak with your Expedition Leader or Park Ranger. You’ll
explore this unforgettable “natural laboratory” where receding glaciers reveal a landscape that hasn’t been
uncovered from the ice in tens of thousands of years. To experience Glacier Bay is to experience nature in its
primary stages, a rare opportunity indeed!

Our exclusive National Park Service arrangement and small group size permit you as guests to hike and kayak
while inside Glacier Bay, an unbelievable and not-to-be-missed experience. We’re proud to offer you the most
in-depth explorations of this remarkable national park.

14 | Alaska’s Inside Passage
Throughout the afternoon we’ll keep a sharp eye out for humpback whales. Our
next destination is Kasnyku Bay on Baranof Island along Chatham Strait. Once
anchored, we’ll explore by kayak and skiff in this majestic, unspoiled corner of
Southeast Alaska before setting off for Takatz Bay for our evening anchorage.

Day 6 (Wed.) Frederick Sound and Sea Lions
Today we’ll cruise around wilderness Admiralty Island to more prime humpback-
viewing waters in Frederick Sound. Here is an outstanding opportunity to spot the
huge brown – or grizzly – bears for which Admiralty Island is famous. We’ll take time
for skiff operations and sea kayaking in Saginaw Bay and cruise up-close to a sea lion
colony at the Brothers Islands. Tonight we'll anchor in a remote and picturesque bay.

Day 7 (Thurs.) Ford’s Terror and Endicott Arm
Cliff-walled fjords sliced into the mountainous mainland are on tap today as we tuck
into an area widely acclaimed as the most beautiful in all of Alaska. Snow gleams on
mountaintops high overhead as bears amble on the shoreline and mountain goats
cling to impossibly precarious perches. Seemingly every few hundred yards another
sparkling waterfall tumbles down the cliffs. Enjoy a skiff ride at Ford’s Terror, named
after an early mariner who was somewhat taken aback when a waterfall appeared at
the turn of the tide where none had been visible at high tide. We’ll anchor overnight at
Taku Harbor to enjoy the Captain’s Farewell Dinner in an utterly lovely setting.

Day 8 (Fri.) Disembark in Juneau, Alaska
After breakfast we’ll arrive in Juneau. A transfer to the Juneau airport or local hotel is
included. Safe travels to all!

16 | Alaska’s Inside Passage
Day 9 Petersburg, Alaska
Petersburg’s Norwegian history is quite prominent throughout the community, and
we’ll have some first-hand experiences of the local culture before we depart. This
afternoon, we’ll enter some of the richest whale waters in Southeast Alaska, and we’ll
be watching for the familiar blows of humpback whales all day!

Days 10-12 Fjords and Hotsprings
We’ll spend these three days in the wildest, most pristine corners of Alaska. We’ll
paddle our kayaks in remote fjords, hike to natural hotsprings, wander through the
temperate rainforest of Southeast Alaska, and explore some of the most scenic, hidden
gems one can find in the Inside Passage.

Days 13-14 Glacier Bay National Park
One of America’s crown-jewel national parks will be ours to explore and marvel at for
the next two days. Tidewater glaciers sweep like rivers of ice down massive mountain
valleys, terminating before us in the waters of Glacier Bay. If conditions permit, we’ll
lower the inflatable and weave among the icebergs that have fallen from the face of the
glaciers. We’ll enjoy evenings at anchor in hidden coves, and mornings paddling our
kayaks in the quiet of this majestic wilderness. And what will we find? Quite possibly
we’ll see puffins, sea lions, mountain goats, bears, moose, eagles, and scenery more
spectacular than any place on earth. To top off our trip, we’ll celebrate and reminisce
together during our festive Farewell Dinner.

Day 15 Disembark in Juneau, Alaska
After breakfast we’ll arrive in Juneau. A transfer to the Juneau airport or local hotel is
included. Safe travels to all!

May and September are excellent times for cruising along British Columbia’s coast and Alaska’s
Inside Passage. At these times of the year the foliage is in vivid color, there are fewer boats and
people. The value is extraordinary and the daily encounters with nature are astounding!

           Hawaii Has Never Been Closer

       Introducing Yacht Exploration in the

                            Hawaiian Islands
Our signature inclusive yacht cruising style is built on flexibility, which allows the 36-guest Safari Explorer to explore
the Hawaiian Islands without having to be at a specific port at a specific time. Guests see and experience the islands
from a different perspective than at a high-end resort. Explore remote coves, inlets, bays and shoreline by foot, kayak,
sailboat, paddle board and motor launch. The 36-guest Safari Explorer provides an exceptional base of comfort for
these active adventures. She is equipped with all the equipment and expertise for kayaking, snorkeling, and more.

During the 7 or 10-night itineraries, immerse yourself in this tropical wonderland to view marine species and
endangered animals that are found nowhere else on earth. The shallow-warm waters provide one of the world’s
most important habitats for humpback whales. Two-thirds of the North Pacific population migrate to Hawaii each
winter for breeding, calving and nursing. We encounter many of these same humpbacks in Alaska where they
feed during the summer months. The flexible itinerary focuses on dipping into hideaway coves and inlets, mostly
staying on the leeward side of the eastern-most Hawaiian Islands chain (sheltered from the northerly winds and
waves). Along the way, experience traditional Hawaiian culture with opportunities of getting to know the locals by
visiting their land and their homes. Each evening, the yacht sets anchor in a different sheltered harbor or inlet. Our
itineraries and small guest contingent has little impact on the islands, and our all-American crew includes Hawaii
residents, especially Captains and Expedition Leader/Naturalists who have personal knowledge of the islands.

Laparuse Trail (King’s Highway) to view ancient Hawaiian ruins. Keep your eyes on the
water for dolphins. Golfers can play a round of golf (optional). Later, we’ll anchor off
the back side of Molokini, an almost submerged crater off the coast of Maui. Here we’ll
have the rare opportunity to experience night snorkeling and scuba diving (optional)
to view multitudes of fish and even harmless sharks.

Day 6 Coastal Adventures; The Big Island
This morning we approach the Big Island’s southern coast. En route we search for
dolphins, whales and even the elusive whale shark. At the edge around Ka Lae
(southernmost tip of the United States), we stop at Black Sands Beach. If conditions
allow, we’ll look for active lava flows into the ocean. We hug the coast northward,
passing by the sacred Place of Refuge to Kealakekua Bay. A snorkeling excursion in
the bay reveals a diversity of colorful corals, sea turtles, sponges and tropical fishes.
Go ashore at the very place where Captain Cook died in battle.

Day 7 The Big Island – Historical Sights
We set sail this morning for the Kohala Coast. At Kailua-Kona there is an opportunity
to join an historic walking tour of the town of Kailua and the gallery-rich village of
Holualoa. For those so inclined, an (optional) heli-tour is available to view remote
waterfalls and Kilauea’s caldera. Deep-sea fishing can be arranged. Early this evening
we are underway to an offshore location where we hope to have the opportunity to
swim with Great Pacific Manta rays.

Day 8 Disembark

Day 7 Marine Mammal Search
The Safari Explorer’s Captain, who calls Hawaii his home, uses his first-hand knowledge
as well as that of Hawaii-based Expedition Leaders/Naturalists to take you to the best
spots to observe humpbacks, seals and spinner dolphins or perhaps one or more of the
other 12 species of toothed dolphins found in Hawaiian waters. Listen for the sounds of
the humpback via submerged hydrophones. At anchor, snorkel with sea turtles and the
tremendous colorful variety of underwater creatures. Or you might choose to relax inside
as bow-mounted underwater cameras bring the action to you on the big screen TV.

Days 8-10 Coastal Adventures; The Big Island
The Big Island of Hawaii is our island paradise for the next three days. Vast, rural and
remote, Hawaii Island’s southernmost region, Kau, seems almost untouched by civiliza-
tion. We start our in-depth exploration at Ka Lae, also known as South Point, the south-
ern most point in the United States. It is believed that the first Polynesians to arrive in
the Hawaiian Islands disembarked here at Ka Lae somewhere between 400 and 800
A.D. Ka Lae has been designated a National Historical Landmark due to the archaeo-
logical ruins and artifacts found here. By skiff we can take a closer look at the effects of
the lava flows which have been generated by Kilauea. Continuing up the coast, we may
visit Punaluu Black Sand Beach’s jet black shores. Coconut palms fringe the upper edge
of sand and you may also discover large honu, or Hawaiian Green Sea turtles, basking
on the beach. At Kailua-Kona there is an opportunity to join an historic walking tour
of the town of Kailua and the gallery-rich village of Holualoa. For those so inclined, an
(optional) heli-tour is available to view remote waterfalls and Kilauea’s caldera. Deep-
sea fishing can be arranged. Our last evening, we are underway to an offshore location
where we’ll have the opportunity to swim with Great Pacific Manta rays.
