Job Description
The SPEAK Network has been developing in breadth and depth over the past few years and the capacity to support
the Network always needs to increase. We are currently developing our fundraising systems and strategies and are
looking for a competent and enthusiastic intern to help us

The role of the Fundraising Intern is an exciting opportunity to use your initiative and creativity to help us develop and
improve our strategies, as well as learn sought-after skills in charity fundraising. As well as this, you will be trained by
SPEAK pioneers and learn about an integrated approach to SPEAK’s work, based on spirituality, prayer, community,
creativity, our network ethos and justice.

There is a genuine occupational need for the person appointed to have a Christian faith and understand Speak’s ethos
as a faith-based organisation.

Key Responsibilities of Role

   Researching potential funding opportunities and writing applications to trust funds and potential donors
   Developing attractive resources for donors
   Helping upgrade our current donor management systems
   Helping us develop exciting new creative community fundraising strategies through developing resources, working
    on publicity strategies and more.


   This position is part-time, ideally 3 days a week (hours are negotiable), working from SPEAK’s Network Support
    Office in London. It is initially for 2 – 3 months, however there is potential for the internship to be extended.
   A normal working day is 9.30am – 5.30pm but there are may be various weekend and evening commitments
    necessary. These are compensated for through a time in lieu system.
   This is an unpaid internship, but we will cover costs for any work related events or travel.
   Start date: ASAP, ideally early or mid June
   Holidays: 25 days pro rata, plus statutory days
