These loans are available as a result of President Bush’s Disaster Declaration for Public Assistance resulting from damages caused by severe storms, flooding, mudslides and rockslides April 14-15, 2007. PNPs located in the counties of Carter, Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Leslie, Martin, Perry and Pike in the Commonwealth of Kentucky are eligible to apply to SBA. Examples of eligible noncritical PNP organizations include, but are not limited to, food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, libraries, community centers, schools and colleges. Eligible private non-profit organizations may qualify for loans up to $1.5 million. These loans are for permanent repair and/or replacement work. Loan amounts and terms are set by SBA and are based upon each applicant’s financial condition. The deadline to apply for these loans is July 24, 2007.
