									Rock – Country – Blues
CoastLand boasts of having the “best of the best” young teen musicians from the Tidewater,
Virginia area. Its members hail from the Virginia Beach coast, inland to western Tidewater: and
therein is the origin of the band’s name. Its five members are each seasoned, experienced
musicians, and have played with some of the best young bands in the area, including The Grant
Austin Taylor Band, The Bria Kelly Band, Electric Current, and Jungle Riot.

During 2009, CoastLand was known as The Bria Kelly Band, where they opened for Miranda
Lambert at NAS Oceana; opened for The Carter Twins at SHARX Sports Grill in Virginia Beach; and
performed at the Virginia State Fair, Isle of Wight County Fair, Suffolk Peanut Fest, and the East
13th Street Theater in New York City. In 2010, in addition to being in demand at local taverns and
restaurants, CoastLand played at historic Webster Hall in New York City, opened for country stars
Craig Morgan and Bomshel, performed at many local festivals such as the Neptune Festival,
Chesapeake Jubilee and Pungo Strawberry Festival, and were headliners at the Isle of Wight
County Fair and Henrico County's KidFest.

Tyler Casey, 17, cooks on the keyboards, lead and rhythm guitar, and also provides vocals. AKA
“Tyler The Taller”.

Tyler Connelly, 17, a twelve-year veteran drummer, also plays a left-handed Fender Stratocaster
guitar. He is also a rising senior at Frank W. Cox High School of Virginia Beach.

Alex Kehayas, 15, is the band’s master craftsman on the bass guitar. Alex also is an accomplished

Bria Kelly, 15, a Colgate Country Showdown vocal competition winner and NFL National Anthem
champion, is CoastLand’s lead vocalist, and also plays guitar and keyboards.

Holly Taché, 15, is CoastLand’s soulful, sizzling lead guitarist. Holly also plays drums, keyboards
and provides vocals.

CoastLand plays an eclectic mixture of rock, country and blues, so audiences are sure to find
something they like in every set! After the classic rock of Led Zeppelin or Pat Benatar, you may
hear the blues from the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan or John Mayer, followed with a little country
by Taylor Swift or Miranda Lambert. CoastLand appeals to a broad spectrum of listeners because
of this diversity. They appeal to all ages because of the wide variety of music, high degree of
musicianship, and energy they display. They are also good teen role models for younger kids.

          Alex Kehayas
Alex, 15, has added bass guitar to his repertoire in recent years. Largely self
taught, Alex enjoys the ability to be part of the percussion backbone that
provides the musical foundation of any band. Alex has taken guitar lessons for 5
years at Alpha Music from the late Scott Bailey and currently from Bernie Lee of
the Jesse Chong Band. Alex takes bass lessons from the talented Dave
Hufstedler, who plays with the Jim Newsome Quartet.

Alex has also participated in the School of Rock summer program at Norfolk
Academy, directed by Steve Archer of The Blue Lords, for the past 4 years.

Musically speaking, Alex is an “old soul”, enjoying the sounds of classic rock
bands including Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Rolling Stones and many of the older R & B
and Funk bands.

Alex has performed with local artists Rendition as well as artists on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Alex has long term musical goals not limited to performance, but perhaps of becoming a luthier to impart his vision of
what guitars should be.

Alex not only hammers down the bass line, he follows a vision of not what a song is, but of what it can be. Alex is also
an accomplished guitarist.
