The Department of Veterans Affairs Iowa City Health Care System (VA is seeking an experienced and
dynamic full-time Urologist (1.0) and a part-time (.25) Urologist to serve at our medical center in the
Urology Department under the Surgical Specialty Care Service Line.

The incumbent evaluates patients in the Urology Clinic, performs clinic procedures and major
procedures in the main operating room. The incumbent will provide pre-operative evaluation of each
patient scheduled for elective or emergency surgery. He/she is responsible for providing the patient
with risks, benefits and alternative treatments and securing the informed consent of the patient/family
needed before conducting invasive procedures. Qualifications include a MD or an equivalent, board
certified or eligible in Urology. Salary is based on the applicant's qualifications and responsibilities.
