today…? What is the line that divides Good from Evil…? Does our
understanding change when we look from the opponent's perspective…? The
bond between the hunter and the hunted – between the Captor and the
Captive seems to be a bond of do or die...The tension between opposites
often seems so electric, that it isolates them from the rest of the world, leaving
just the two- All alone... Are ten heads better than one….? Is there a Ram
inside Raavan? And a Raavan inside each of us?!

STONES IN EXILE (Jagged Pictures) Directors Fortnight

At the end of the „60s the Rolling Stones were at a turning point: hounded by
the press, battling drug busts, and facing possible financial ruin. The band
threw down the gauntlet and decamped to the south of France to begin the
most arduous recording sessions of their entire careers for an album that, in
time, came to be regarded as one of the greatest rock and roll albums ever
made. Holed up in the labyrinthine basements of Keith and Anita‟s rented
mansion, the Stones must contend with rising temperatures, addiction, theft,
and a very wary French police, in a bid to maintain the mantle of Greatest
Rock n‟ Roll Band in the World. We know they succeeded, but how? This is
the story of the Stones in exile, and the making of their classic album “Exile on
Main Street.” Featuring a treasure-trove of rare and never-before-seen film
and photos, including outtakes from Robert Frank‟s infamous “Cocksucker
Blues”, new interviews with the band and some of the men and women who
bore witness to the album‟s creation, STONES IN EXILE is a heady time-
travel trip back to the summer of 1972 that bears witness to a vivid moment in
rock and roll history.

River”, “Milk”) and Naomi Watts (“Eastern Promises”, “King Kong”, “21
