Daily News Release
        ACCIDENTS:
        On November 26, 2008, Richland Township Police Dept. responded to an accident at
        Trainers Corner Shopping Center at approximately 10:15 PM. A 17 year old female
        driver from Sellersville attempted to turn left on a green light when the opposing traffic
        had the right-of-way and caused a collision with Scott A. Seachrist, age 55, of West
        Rock Road, Perkasie. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.


        On November 28, 2008, at approximately 9:50 AM, Richland Township Police Dept.
        investigated a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Michael’s Arts and Crafts Store,
        232 N. West End Blvd. in the Township. Linda M. Payne, age 65, of E. Walnut St.,
        Perkasie, failed to yield the right-of-way prior to backing out of a parking space and
        struck the vehicle driven by Annette Marie Zegiestowsky, age 41, of Perkiomenville.
        Contact damage was observed on both vehicles and no injuries were reported.


        On November 28, 2008, at approximately 5:40 PM, RTPD responded to an accident on
        Tollgate Road at the entrance to Wawa. John J. Vasil, age 54, of 232 Yankee Road in
        the township failed to yield the right-of-way to approaching traffic upon entering the
        parking lot of Wawa and as a result caused a collision with Irvin E. Beidler, age 21, of
        Bauman Rd., Quakertown resulting in contact damage to both vehicles and no injuries.


        On November 28, 2008, at approximately 5:55 PM, RTPD was detailed to the
        Quakertown Farmers Market at 201 Station Road in the Township for an accident in the
        parking lot. Joltin Ortiz, age 24, of Cobblestone Way, Quakertown, rear-ended a 17 year
        old male driver from Perkasie, PA when the juvenile stopped to pull into a parking aisle.


        December 2, 2008, at approximately 9:30 AM, Richland Township Police Dept.
        investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Rt. 663 and Hickory Drive in the
        township. Matthew John Hug, age 21, of Reading, PA failed to stay in the left lane of
        travel as he was approaching the intersection and hit Richard R. Minor, age 51, of
        Newark, DE, who was in the right lane. Contact damage was observed on both vehicles
        and there were no injuries reported.

        December 3, 2008, at approximately 8:45 PM, RTPD was dispatched to a two-vehicle
        crash at the intersection of Rt. 663 and N. Old Bethlehem Pike. Leslie E. Adams, age
        66, of Sellersville, failed to yield the right away at the intersection to Darrel E.
        McMasters, age 65, of Seaford, DE, resulting in contact damage to both vehicles. No
        injuries were reported.


        December 4, 2008, at approximately 4:50 PM, RTPD investigated an accident in the
        township involving Oliver K. Davis, age 18, of Cedar Crest Dr., Quakertown, who lost
        control of his vehicle entering a curve and exited the roadway striking a tree at 805 Rock
        Hill Road. His vehicle had to be towed from the scene.


        CRIMES:
        November 28, 2008, at approximately 3:15 PM, RTPD was dispatched to Giant Food
        Store at 901 S. West End Blvd. in the Township for a report of a bicycle theft. Edwin C.
        Lewis, age 49, of W. Broad St., Quakertown, left his Schwinn mountain bike in front of
        the store earlier in the day and notice it missing when he finished work. The bike is
        valued at $100.00.


        November 29, 2008, RTPD responded to Richland Meadows Trailer Park for a report of
        criminal mischief to property. Homeowner, Rita Wright, reported the plastic deck skirting
        around her porch had been forced from its fasteners and strewn about the yard while
        she was at work yesterday.


        November 30, 2008, at approximately 1:00 PM, RTPD was detailed to Kohl’s
        Department Store at 200 N. West End Blvd. for the report of theft from vehicle. Jill
        Pinnola Vizza of Harleysville, PA, reported a Magellan GPS unit was taken from inside
        her vehicle while she was shopping at Kohl’s. The window on the driver’s door had been
        smashed. The unit is valued at $199.99.


        December 1, 2008, at approximately 3:20 PM, RTPD were called to Best Buy at 646 N.
        West End Blvd. for a report of retail theft. A 15 year old male from Allentown Rd.,
        Quakertown, was stopped attempting to leave the store past all points of sale with 2
        DVDs with a total value of $24.98. The juvenile was processed by police and will be
        referred to the Youth Aid Panel.

        On December 2, 2008, at approximately 3:40 PM, RTPD was detailed to Rite Aid at
        1080 S. West End Blvd. for the report of a theft. The store’s asst. manager reported an
        unidentified male left the store with 2 digital cameras with a total value of $79.98.


        On December 2, 2008, RTPD responded to a report of criminal mischief to auto at Patio
        Court Motel. Deborah Breakiron reported that sometime overnight on Sunday her car
        tires were punctured causing all four to be flat the next morning.


        On December 4, 2008, at approximately 11:30 AM, RTPD was detailed to K & S Tire on
        Rt. 309 for a theft report. Thomas Swauger, business owner, reported a 7-1/2 foot wide
        Western Snow Plow valued at $3,500 had been taken from the rear of his business
        sometime overnight.




        ARRESTS:
        On November 27, 2008, at approximately 1:30 AM, Richland Township Police Dept. was
        detailed to Montana West at 1030 N. West End Blvd. for the report of an assault.
        Brandon Jade Scott, age 22, of the 1800 block of Mountainview Rd., Quakertown was
        apprehended by police for assaulting a 24 year old male in the bathroom at the club. He
        was found to be in possession of plastic fighting knuckles and subsequently arrested by
        RTPD.
