Drug Phenytoin MOA Indication Idiopathic and symptomatic epilepsy (except petit mal), grand mal, psychomotor epilepsy, Jackson epilepsy Dosage Initially 1 tab daily, increase dose by 1 tab aweek until optimal response is achieved. Usual dose: 4mg/kg (2-3 tab) daily. Max: 4 tab daily 10-20mg at a rate of 5mg/min repeated after 30-60 minutes if necessary CI Leukopenia, 2 or 3 degree AV block, sinus bradycardia, cardiomegally, porphyria
