New Scouts - Sign up for 3 or 4 Merit Badges. Swimming is mandatory in Troop 210. Other recommended
merit badges for first year scouts are: Basketry, Mammal Study, Nature, Weather, Painting, Indian Lore,
Fishing, Leatherwork, Space Exploration, Astronomy, and Fingerprinting. Also recommended, but have
prerequisites, are Art and Fire Safety.
Older Scouts – Sign up for 4 Merit Badges, unless you are taking Environmental Science, First Aid, or other
multi-session merit badges. Please note: Environmental Science and First Aid take two blocks of
time.
