               new direction towards diversifying their quest for different
               courses. This year, the student body received their scheduling
               form and a newly printed Program of Studies booklet, which
               lists 120 course selections for the next school year.
  Principal Daniel Bonomo who put the new book together said, “I did not
write the program of studies myself. I’ve gone to faculty members, guidance,
and others to see what their inputs were.”

                                                                                                                                                                      Training room expenses are $4,000, facilities are $3,000, insurance

                                                                                                                                                                      The 2004-2005 athletic department budget is around $160,000
                                                                                                                                                                   and is divided among the 37 different sports starting with the
                                                                                                                                                                   elementary schools all the way through high school.
                                                                                                                                                                      “The school board athletic budget is going towards the right
                                                                                                                                                                   direction because every tax payer only has to contribute a total of
                                                                                                                                                                   about ten dollars,” said Athletic Director Bill Perkins.
                                                                                                                                                                      With the budget well intact, surprisingly there were still some
                                                                                                                                                                   questions about maintaining the financial flow to the many
                                                                                                                                                                   organizations in this school. “This was the first year that the school
                                                                                                                                                                   board has ever questioned the athletic department budget,” said
                                                                                                                                                                   Perkins, but each question was answered.
                                                                                                                                                                      Handling the athletic department’s budget is a lot more difficult
                                                                                                                                                                   than it may seem because it consists of splitting the budget fairly
                                                                                                                                                                   with a huge amount of programs.
                                                                                                                                                                      Even though transportation is shared relatively evenly, equipment
                                                                                                                                                                   on the other hand is shared differently, while football received
                                                                                                                                                                   $6,000, boys and girls soccer received $1,200 each. Tennis,
                                                                                                                                                                   swimming and wrestling all three received $2,000 each. Two squads
                                                                                                                                                                   of cheerleading, baseball, softball, field hockey and basketball both
                                                                                                                                                                   girls and boys received $1,500 each.
