J
uly has been a great month at Grace as we took 16 kids to two different camps and had a teenager get saved. We ran
our “Crocodile Dock” VBS and saw 10 children give their lives to Christ. The last night of Crocodile Dock I heard
the kids singing in the Fellowship Hall loud and proud “I will not be afraid, though trouble’s out there, night and
day. I will not be swamped with fear, for God is always, always, always, My God is always here.” When you hear kids
singing words like that, with all their heart, it will get you excited!

We finished off July by ordaining two men who have the qualifications and heart of a deacon, Todd Trimble and Dennis
Sprouse. When you see men like these serving the Lord with all their heart it likewise will get you excited!

As I think about how our Sunday morning messages have centered on the life of Moses for the past four weeks, I think it
is very important for us to learn as the kids did in VBS that God is always here, He knows where we are at, and desires to
work in every detail of our lives in ways that we often can’t even imagine. God called Moses to do a job that Moses could
not do. The same is true for us today. God never asks us what we can do, He simply calls us to what He can do through
us. Whether it is telling Pharaoh to let God’s people go, facing a Red Sea, reviving a dead marriage, breaking the bonds
of an addiction, or simply surrendering our stubborn will to His – we will find a God who cares, a God who is powerful,
and a God who does what He says He will do.

Moses commands us… “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with
all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5).

If we will sing and serve Him with all of our heart, we will be amazed as we see God work around us (Exodus 14:13) and
will compel others to be excited about a God who cares for them”.

Are you singing and serving with all of your heart?
                                                                                            Loving God... Loving People,
                                                                                                       Bro. Andy

                              “Let everything Psalm 150:6
that has breath praise the Lord.
                              Praise the Lord.”

Summer is coming to an end as the first day of school is slowly coming to a reality. It has been a
great summer with one salvation and one surrendering to ministry during our week of camp at
LeTourneau University. The teens are excited about the decisions made at camp and also the
beginning of looking outward to new teens coming into the youth ministry and families being
added to the church.

“S.N.A.C.”- Sunday Night After Church, is a time where the teens go out after church and grab a
bite to eat and have a time of fellowship together. We will hit up fast food restaurants to help keep
the cost of eating at a minimum. I encourage teens to attend because this is a great time for teens
to grow closer together spiritually. Our first S.N.A.C. will be August 9th after Sunday evening
service at McDonald’s.

Matthew 25:40….”And the King shall answer and say unto

Sonshine Nursery them. Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto
one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto
                                         me.”

Well, the last month of summer is here– “the dog days” of August – but isn’t it a blessing to still
have green grass? July was so exciting with “Crocodile Dock” Vacation Bible School and the
salvation of ten precious children. I want to thank the ladies who faithfully worked in Sonshine
Nursery during VBS – June Barton, Gale Graham, June Liberacki, Layla Smigiel and Carol
Whisenhunt. These ladies had just as much a part in the salvation of these children as those who
actually talked to them. What a blessing for those workers to know their babies & toddlers were
well taken care of during VBS!

We are going to lose two more toddlers to Wee Angels – MaKenna Sprouse & Kaelan McCarter who
both turn 3 in August. We are always are sad when our little ones are promoted but we are glad to
see them grow in the Lord Jesus.

Let’s get ready for Fall – and see what the Lord has in store for us!
