    6      John bought a new video recorder. The tag in the shop said it cost £299 + VAT. If VAT is charged at 17½%
           how much did he pay? Remember to round currency to 2 decimal places (in this case pence)

    15     Matthew's GCSE maths exam is next week. As part of his revision he attempted 31 questions on his least favourite
           of topic of percentages. He got 21 questions fully right on the first attempt. Two days later he tried all 31 questions
           and this time he got 29 correct.

    16     I wish to invest £1000 for a period of three years and have decided to invest it with Watts Building Society on
           1st January. If I choose the Premier Savings account I will withdraw the interest at the end of each year.
           If I choose the Superior Savings account the interest will be added to the capital at the end of each year, but I
           will not be able to withdraw the interest.

           c)          I decide to use the Premier Savings account, but leave the interest in the account rather than
