By original bill and bill of Receiver and Supplement John Marchant of Little Park in the parish of
Hurstpierpoint in the county of Sussex Esq of the age of 70 years maketh oath and saith that in
________ by the last will and testament of Robert Parker late of Bath in the county of Somerset Esq
dated 24th June 1829 he the Testator gave and bequeathed all the rest residue of his ready money
__________ for money and moneys in the funds in trust after the ________ of his decease of his wife
Helen to divide transfer and pay the same unto and amongst his cousins Thomas Marchant this dep
John Marchant and the children of his late cousin William Marchant and the children of his late cousin
Mary Knight in manner herein mentioned and this deposition further saith that the said William
Marchant mentioned in the Testator's will as his the said Testator's late cousin William Marchant was
in fact first cousin of the said Testator they the said Testator and the said Testator and the said William
Marchant being the lawful issue of the two sisters namely Morton another of the said Testator who
survived Robert Parker and Elizabeth Morton mother of the said William Marchant who married
Thomas Marchant and this deposition further saith that in or about the year 1784 the said WILLIAM
MARCHANT then of Cheshunt in the county of Hertford Surgeon then a bachelor intermarried with
ELIZABETH GRAHAM of the Parish of St George Botolphs Lane in the county of Middlesex and had
issue five children and no more three sons and two daughters viz Thomas Marchant William Henry
Marchant JOHN MARCHANT Demetria Georgina Marchant and Augusta Broughton Marchant that
the said William Henry Marchant Demetria Georgina Marchant and Augusta Broughton Marchant have
all been many years dead that is to say in the lifetime of the said Testator ____________ this
deposition further saith that the said WILLIAM MARCHANT was never again married and this
deposition further saith that the said Thomas Marchant and JOHN MARCHANT the younger
mentioned in the pleadings of this cause are the only surviving children of the said WILLIAM
MARCHANT and that the said Thomas Marchant is now residing at Gellings Park near Calstock in the
county of Cornwall and that the said JOHN MARCHANT is now residing at Hailsham in the county of
Sussex and this deposition further saith that since the said Testator's death he this Depositiones hath
seen the said Thomas Marchant and JOHN MARCHANT several times conversed with them
