Dear Member Club, We would like to introduce you to our schedule of Handicap System seminars for the 2011 season. As per the Club Handicap License Agreement, each club must send a representative to attend a Handicap System seminar and pass a short test exhibiting knowledge of the RCGA Handicap System. Clubs must have a member attend a seminar and pass the test within the term of the agreement. They will then be considered to have met this requirement for the term of the license. We are hosting several Handicap System seminars this season in order to continue our education drive and to help clubs achieve certification and compliance. These seminars are a more in-depth look into Handicapping and Course Rating and will give attendees a thorough knowledge of the RCGA Handicap and Course Rating system. The Handicap System seminars are beneficial for Club Members, Handicap Committee members, Golf Professionals, Superintendents, General Managers and others interested in learning more about Handicapping in general. These seminars last approximately 3 hours and include a copy of the RCGA Handicap System Manual and other relevant Handicap materials. The registration fee is $20 per attendee which will cover room rental, food/beverage as well as all course materials handed out. The seminars are listed on the attached registration form with locations/dates/times. Please pass this information on to all members who you think would be interested in attending in 2011. To attend one of these seminars, please select a seminar, complete the attached form and please return the registration form prior to the registration deadline. The seminars are limited to a maximum of 40 attendees and spots will be filled on a first come first served basis. You will then receive registration confirmation via email. Day of registration will commence one half hour prior to the seminar time listed.
