CAC PFSA
• Consulting
– Provide guidance and technical assistance on all aspects of IHS-EHR
• Planning
– Serve as the point of contact for EHR initial planning and preimplementation
• Implementation Assistance
– Attend one week of set up training (CAC school) for facility EHR team – Provide one week of set up support – Provide one week of on site assistance to facility when your site is ready to go live
• Continued Support
– Serve as the technical liaison for EHR between OIT, BAIHS, and health care facilities
Responsibilities
• Facility Responsibilities
– – – – Identify staff to serve as local CAC Commit resources to train local CAC Identify EHR team Develop local plan with management support for EHR implementation
• Area CAC Responsibilities
– Assist local CAC in preparation for EHR – Provide one week of on-site assistance when facilities are ready to go live. – Work closely with Area MIS to ensure sites have all necessary software installed and configured correctly in preparation for EHR – Serve as a liaison for dissemination of information and technical support for EHR.
Cost for retaining CAC service
• $2,800/site/year for FY07
– Supplemented by $50,000 from HQ
