A.) Resource Patient Management System (RPMS) Server
Primary responsibilities -Technology assessment of RPMS server platforms and associated hardware; installation of server software and associated hardware (tape back up, printer configuration); problem resolution; site manager training Consulting Capacity –provide technical guidance for procurement of server and recommended RPMS server maintenance
B.) Cabling, Local Area Network, Terminals and Personal Computers
Consulting Capacity – planning for new facilities (MIS) plan review; recommend wiring, connectors / wall jacks; communications hardware and software; server room recommendations
C.) RPMS-EHR Software
Primary responsibilities – Consultation / Coordination with facilities on installation of RPMSEHR software, managing OIT sponsored training of users; help desk support, resolution of errors (programming of local enhancements) delete Consulting Capacity – Technical assistance on the management of RPMS-EHR Cache database (creating of new users; assignment of security keys) delete
D.) RPMS Training
Serves as the program manager for all OIT sponsored training in the use of the RPMSEHR clinical software programs and the improvement of electronic health data (service documentation) delete.
E.) Data Base Management
Primary responsibilities – Planning for IHS RPMSEHR Cache (MSM) delete software; installation of IHS RPMS-EHR Cache (MSM) delete software; configuration guidance; installation of RPMS-EHR Cache (MSM) delete revisions and patches; database expansion; resolving software related system errors. Consulting Capacity – procurement of Cache (MSM) delete software; monitoring of hard disk space.
F.) Telecommunications and Wide Area Network (WAN)
Primary responsibilities – Provide technical guidance on the procurement of WAN hardware, software, and cabling in accordance with Indian Health Service WAN security requirements; connectivity problem resolution; Private Virtual Network (PVN)(delete); liaison for GSA contracted circuits FTS2001 (delete); services (voice and data) (delete); submit all required paper work for Universal Services Fund (USF) circuit reimbursement. Consulting Capacity – planning for facilities (delete) Provide guidance on WAN circuit design and costs
