Unofficial copy, Waltham's Murray Street in 1893, as depicted on a plan of bulding lots submitted to the Registry of Deeds of Middlesex County. The Registry of Deeds is an excellent place to start when examining an issue related to grandfathering. There is a very supportive staff there, and open access to even books that are over a century old. Even for historical interest, its well worth a visit. And for challenging a zoning case, its best to fully know the history of a property and its surrounding properties.
