    I. ABOUT THE AIESEC in Finland HALL OF FAME
The AIESEC in Finland Hall of Fame Awards is introduced for the first time this year. This year, the Gala
Ceremony will take place in Helsinki alongside the ACCESS and 60th Anniversary celebration at Sipuli
Ravintola, Helsinki.


Objectives of the AIESEC in Finland Hall of Fame Awards
o Reinforce the leadership characteristics and attitudes desired in AIESEC by highlighting alumni and
partners who exemplify our values and who had an outstanding contribution in AIESEC and within their
community.
o Profile and showcase alumni to Finland, and acknowledge their contribution nationally.
o Motivate alumni to become re-involved with AIESEC.
o Position AIESEC alumni nationally to allow the active membership to connect with AIESEC history and
learn from past experiences.

Structure of the Awards

First Category:
o AIESEC in Finland Hall of Fame Award

Second Category:
o AIESEC in Finland Alumni Entrepreneurship & Leadership Award
o AIESEC in Finland Contribution Award

The later 2 awards are parts of the Hall of Fame Ceremony; however awards recipients do not become a
part of the Hall of Fame. They are eligible for another nomination to the full Hall of Fame in later years if
their profiles continue to grow. This re-structuring is done in order to ensure proper representation and

selection of awardees in every category. Alumni nominated for the 1 category will be automatically
“qualified” for the second category nominations..

All candidates must play a role-model towards the existing and future AIESEC generations, through
exemplifying AIESEC values.



II. AIESEC in Finland HALL OF FAME AWARD
This award is presented to:
o Those alumni who had an outstanding contribution while being in AIESEC and after leaving the
organization and who had demonstrated active leadership throughout their lives. They were or are still

involved in local, national or international activities offering advice and support to the AIESEC
membership.

o Those partners who had an outstanding contribution to AIESEC over several years and who had
demonstrated active leadership throughout their lives. They were or are still involved in local or
national activities offering advice and support to the AIESEC membership.

The aim of this award is to show Finland the impact that AIESEC Alumni and Partners have in the
society and to acknowledge their contribution. We would like to reinforce the leadership characteristics,
excellence and attitudes desired in our organization by highlighting alumni and partners who exemplify
our values.

The Selection Committee will evaluate each nominee according to the following criteria:
o Achievements, team contribution and leadership demonstrated during the membership in AIESEC;
o Level of involvement at local, national and international level with AIESEC as an alumnus or as a
partner;
o Success in personal career ;
o Contribution to the community after AIESEC.

AIESEC Alumni Hall of Fame award specific criteria:
o A nominee has to be a former member of AIESEC in Finland;
o A nominee has to be a former or current partner / supporter of AIESEC in Finland;
Based on the above criteria and principles, the Selection Committee shall then select 1-3 inductees for
the Hall of Fame Award.


III. AIESEC CONTRIBUTION AWARD
This award is presented to those individuals who make an outstanding contribution to AIESEC in
Finland by participating in a wide range of activities, including national conferences, partnerships,
serving on Boards of Member / Local Committees.

The aim of this award is to increase the involvement of alumni and encourage those who continue to
make a difference for AIESEC.

The Selection Committee will evaluate each nominee according to the following criteria:
o Achievements, team contribution and leadership demonstrated during the involvement with AIESEC;
o Level of involvement at national and international level after AIESEC – showcasing the support of
AIESEC.
Individuals, who were not a part of AIESEC, but are active and long-term supporters, can be nominated
for the award as well.
Based on the above criteria and principles, the Selection Committee shall then select 1-3 inductees for
the AIESEC Contribution Award.


IV. AIESEC ALUMNI ENTREPRENEURSHIP & LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award is presented to an alumnus who has made a considerable achievement as an entrepreneur
and leader in his/her field of engagement.

The aim of this award is to showcase the achievements of alumni who have been involved in developing
ideas into successful entrepreneurial or social setups, or achieved significant personal results in the
community, and while doing so, continuing to support AIESEC and demonstrating leadership in their
areas of business and in society.

The criteria for this award will be interpreted broadly and the following success measures will be
considered: sustainable development which includes financial sustainability, social sustainability and
ecological sustainability; extent to which the enterprise or the organization reflects the AIESEC values.

The Selection Committee will evaluate each nominee according to the following criteria:
o Personal achievements as an entrepreneur and a leader after AIESEC, in a particular area (business,
politics, education, social sector etc);
o The success and innovation of the enterprise, organization or product and level of leadership
demonstrated in nominee’s involvement as an entrepreneur;
o Achievements, team contribution and leadership demonstrated during involvement with AIESEC;
o Level of involvement at local, national and international level after AIESEC.

Alumni Entrepreneurship & Leadership award specific criteria:
o A nominee has to be a former AIESEC member of some AIESEC entity;
o Nominee’s success has to be recognized by other entities outside of AIESEC.
Based on the above criteria and principles, the Selection Committee shall then select 1 inductee for the
Alumni Entrepreneurship & Leadership Award.


V. NOMINATIONS AND SELECTION PROCESS
For the 2008 AIESEC Hall of Fame Awards, the nomination process will be opened on September 29,
2008 and closes on October 25, 2008.

Alumni, Local Committees and the Member Committee will be eligible to make nominations for each
award.

Selection Panel
The Selection Panel of the AIESEC Hall of Fame Awards constitute of the following:

       The current Member Committee President of AIESEC in Finland- Helena Rebane
       Representative from AIESEC in Finland Board – Aksu
       Representative from AIESEC in Finland Alumni Board – Antti Poikola (Jogi)
       National Support Team Alumni Relations: Pak

The role of the Selection Panel will be to review all completed applications for the AIESEC Alumni Hall of
Fame Awards and based on either meeting or exceeding the minimums of the various selection criteria
and principles, recommend and select the most suitable individuals as inductees for the different
categories of the AIESEC Alumni Hall of Fame Awards.

Selection Process
The following is the Selection Process for the AIESEC Hall of Fame Awards:

o Alumni, Local Committees and the Member Committee make nominations by filling in the application

form by October 25 .
o The Selection Panel discusses the applications and takes the decision on the inductees.
o AIESEC in Finland communicates with the selected inductees and their respective nominating bodies.
