Race Date: Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Start Time: 6:30 am                                                        USATF National 100 km Championship Race: USATF members
                                                                           will compete for prize money in both male and female categories
Location: Vilas Park on Lake Wingra. The starting line is in front of      as follows:1st $2000; 2nd $1200; 3rd $750; 4th $500; 5th $250;
the park shelter and 500 ft east of the aid station on Vilas Park Drive.   6th $125. USATF medals will be awarded to the top ten males and
                                                                           females.
Course Description: The certified course consists of 10 loops
around Madison’s most popular 10km course. Primarily asphalt with
rolling hills.                                                             Relay For the Ages: Awards will be given in the following categories
                                                                           based on the combined ages of all team members:
Time Limit: 13 hours (course closes at 7:30 pm)                                • 0-299 years
                                                                               • 300-399 years
Facilities: Shelter, restrooms, and porta-johns at start/finish. Porta-
johns at the 6 km aid station.                                                 • 400-499 years
                                                                               • 500 years and over
Aid Stations: There are three aid stations along the 10K loop
course:
                                                                           Awards Presentations: There will not be a formal awards
     • 2.4 km/1.5 miles - water station
                                                                           ceremony following the race. Awards for the solo 100K runners will
     • 6 km/3.8 miles - full aid station with food, drink and support      be confirmed and presented to the runners as they finish the race.
     • 10 km/6.2 mile start/finish area - full aid station with food,      Awards for relay teams will be confirmed and presented to the teams
