 Write their own causes and effects regarding the problem of noise
                 pollution
 Write a cause and effect text based on the given text

II. Subject matter
Model Text: ‘When the Noise is Too Much’ by Jane Nepomuceno
Nepomuceno, Jane. "When Noise is Too Much." Manila Bulletin. September 1.
Materials: Loud noise (audio record), pictures manifesting noise pollution, copy
                      of the model text, worksheet

III. Procedure
     A. Preparation
 The teacher will first play a loud noise and will see the students’ reaction.
The teacher will ask if they liked the feeling of hearing a loud noise and if
they like to live in a very noisy world. The teacher will also ask what will
happen if people continue to read loud noise.
 The teacher will then post several pictures on the board which contain
shots about the destruction of the environment because of several factors
presented in another picture. The students will then match the picture
which causes happening in the other picture to occur.

     B. Modeling/Reinforcing
 The teacher will provide the students with an article about noise pollution.
The teacher will also give the class a note-taking worksheet to help them
identify all causes and effects discussed in the given text.

        C. Planning
 The class will then be divided into groups and each group will discuss and
brainstorm on the causes and effects of noise pollution mentioned in the
article, using the note-taking worksheet they’ve accomplish.
     D. Joint Constructing
 The groups will now write their own causes and effects based on the text
they’ve read using a worksheet. (see attachment)

         Writing sentences
Students, together with the teacher and their respective groups will now
transform the causes and effects they have listed into sentences. The
teacher will also give examples to help the class write their own
            sentences.

     E. Independent Constructing

         Putting it all together
Students will now work on the words, and sentences listed on their
worksheet and in their notes to begin writing paragraphs.
