A Note From Our Pastor of Visitation
As I write this, Thanksgiving is just a little over five weeks away and some may be
thinking, "What do we have to be thankful for this year? Some have lost wealth and
fortunes. Some have lost jobs and homes (houses). Some have lost a loved
one. Some have lost more than one loved one.

But what we have as a believer is:
♦ We have the everlasting loving kindness of our Lord.
♦ We know our God is an awesome God.
♦ We have the opportunity to serve the Lord with gladness.
♦ We have the freedom to worship our God with gladness.
♦ We have the amazing love of our Heavenly Father
♦ And we need to praise God from whom all blessings flow.

What we can lose comes from this world. What we can't lose comes to us from the
eternal love of our Heavenly Father. What we can look forward to is having the prom-
ises of God fulfilled, spending eternity with Him and a great reunion with all those
saints gone before us.

The Lord is my Shepherd - that is all I need!

God bless you and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

                                   Saturday November 21

Calling all Men…on Saturday November 21 we will meet in Hinman Hall from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. for
breakfast, fellowship and a time of testimony.

We will take time to reflect back on the last year and share some of our highlights and the things
that we are most thankful for. Come on out and join us for a great breakfast. Let us be encour-
aged by one another. This will be a breakfast you won’t want to miss.

To Our Church Family,

We would like to express our appreciation for the prayers, support, cards, and phone calls during and after Tom’s recent surgery.
The visits from Jeff, Doris, Jim, and Jay are also very much appreciated.

We have always known that the Lord has blessed Peters Creek Church with very special people and our family is very humbled and
grateful to be a part of this church family.

         November Stewardship Update
We are quickly approaching the end of 2009. Where has the year gone? This
has been a difficult year for many as the stock market has been up and down and
there has been a lot of uncertainty. Through all of this we are so thankful for our
congregation and your continued giving and support. With only two months left
we are slightly behind budget but not by much. We can make this up if we all
pull together and make up the shortage together. The staff will continue to
watch spending and make cuts where necessary. Thank you again for your
faithfulness and love for Him.

Let’s finish strong. May God continue to bless you as you serve Him.

Winter is coming and the Peters Township Food Pantry is in need of paper
products and other household products. Specifically needed are paper towels,
toilet paper, laundry detergent and toiletry items such as
toothpaste. Deacons collect donated items in the baskets in the back of the
sanctuary and drop them off at the P.T. Food Pantry. On your next grocery
shopping trip, please try to remember those less fortunate and purchase a few
extra items. Thank you for your support of this ongoing mission!
