CONTINUOUS AMBIENT AIR QUALITY MONITORING STATIONS IN DELHI Presently Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has three fixed Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations, one mobile van and one portable mobile station in Delhi. These three fixed stations are installed at Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), Bawana, Sirifort and B.S.Z. Marg (ITO Crossing). Following parameters are measured at these fixed stations and mobile vans: (i) Carbon Monoxide, (ii) Sulphur Dioxide, (iii) Oxides of Nitrogen, (iv) Benzene, Toluene & Xylene, (v) Ozone, (vi) Particulate Matters (PM10 & PM2.5) and Meteorological Parameters like Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Temperature, Relative Humidity and Solar Radiation. On line data obtained from these stations (fixed and mobile) are linked to the Central Computer at Parivesh Bhawan and is also available at 15 minutes interval at CPCB web site (www.cpcb.nic.in) w.e.f. September 2006. Three more stations being procured under Operation and Maintenance Contract will be installed in Delhi by end 2007 and on line data obtained from these stations will also be linked to the CPCB Website.
