OVERVIEW
The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for the strategic sourcing and inventory management
through supply chain. Additionally, the Director manages tank assets owned by company
deployed to customer locations including the recycling and refurbishment of previously
deployed tanks. Also, the Director is responsible for procurement processes and compliance to
all company purchasing policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage purchase order, delivery, and receiving processes to insure proper financial
governance of the supply chain
Inventory management of gas and cylinders to ensure supply is available when required
Work with Operations to project inventory requirements
Oversee asset management of tanks and cylinders deployed to customer locations and
assure that all assets are properly recorded in ERP system
Manage tank inventory, tank purchasing, and transportation of tanks
Develop sourcing strategy and negotiate contracts with suppliers
Prepare RFP’s and manage the bidding process
Define, document and continuously refine the procurement, P.O. processes, policies,
and compliance monitoring
Identify, define, and communicate supply chain best practices and standards
Work actively with key stakeholders to ensure integration of supply chain into core
business processes.
Provide detailed reporting and analytics of supply chain financial and operating
performance to all levels of the organization
Continuously improving the cost and performance of the supply chain function
Education, Experience, Qualifications required:
Strong leadership, interpersonal, strategic sourcing and management skills are required.
Candidate must be results driven, resourceful and have demonstrated success in reducing total
costs through innovative supply chain management.
Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain is required, MBA preferred
Minimum of 7 – 10 years sourcing/supply chain experience
True understanding of strategic sourcing and supply chain optimization
Strong process orientation
Strong negotiation skills
Budget and business plan development and implementation experience
