Guidance for Resit

Each department will consider the following factors when putting candidates
forward for a resit at the school’s expense.

 Priority will be given to those students on the C/D border line.

 The pupil’s score should be within 5 marks of the next grade boundary.

 There are clear identifiable modules for improvement (ie their performance
is not equal across all modules).

 They have the support of their current teachers, regarding motivation,
       work/coursework completed etc.

 Any pupil could resit any module/exam at their own expense.

 Students on the Intervention Programme will automatically qualify for a
resit at the Schools’ expense should they fail to achieve a C grade.

 Individual exam board policies must be adhered to.
