  positive impact on the environment

• Incorporate measures that further reduce the energy needed to heat
  and power the properties

• Provision of public space within the development

    Working Towards Carbon Negativity

     • A Carbon Negative building will use less energy than it creates

     • Carbon used throughout the construction process along with whole
running costs combined form the amount of carbon produced

     • The buildings must therefore use as little energy as possible, whilst
       producing power from renewable sources

Development should also:

• Reduce water use
• Minimise construction waste
• Maximise the use of recycled materials
