									     Incentives, Rebates and Tax Credits Available to Belmont Residents

   MassSave offers incentives to cover 75% of cost of weatherization up to $2000.00 for
qualifying measures to Belmont residents who heat with natural gas.

National Grid                 1-800-292-2032

    Offers rebates to natural gas customers for energy efficient heating and hot water
equipment that range from $25 for a programmable thermostat to $1600 for a high
efficiency condensing boiler and on-demand water heating unit.

  Offers rebates of 15% of cost of installing a solar water heating system up to a
maximum of $1500.

Belmont Municipal Light Department                 1-617-993-2800
   Offers rebates for Energy Star residential appliances ranging from $25 for a
programmable thermostat to $100 for a refrigerator or washing machine. Total of $150
per account.

Massachusetts Oil Heat Council                    1-781-237-0730

   Offers rebates ranging from $1500 to $4000 for upgrades of older, inefficient oil heat
equipment if qualify by income of 60-120% of median state income.

Massachusetts Clean Energy Center

   Has a pilot program to help defer the costs of residential solar hot water installations.

   Offers free energy audit and free weatherization for low income families based on
gross family income. SSI and TAFDC recipients are categorically eligible no matter what
the income. Any one on fuel assistance is also eligible.

Federal Tax Credits       
   Federal Tax Credits are available for energy efficient products and systems including
biomass stoves, HVAC, insulation, roofs, water heaters, and windows and doors. Tax
credit is 30% of cost up to $1500. Expires: Must be installed by Dec 31, 2010.

   Federal Tax Credits available for systems using renewal energy including geothermal
heat pumps, small residential wind turbines and solar energy systems. Tax credit is 30%
of cost with no upper limit. Expires Dec 31, 2016.
