Playing Conditions & Rules – Beach Volleyball

REGISTRATION/INSURANCE: Season Registration Fee is $20 for 2’s, $40 for 4’s. Teams must be
fully registered by week three (3) of the season. Four (4) bonus points will be awarded to teams fulfilling
this obligation, while teams unregistered after week 5, will not have their points displayed. If registration
is not paid by week eight (8) of the season, the team will be carefully looked at and risk exclusion from
the competition. As part of the team registration the centre now offers participant insurance for
every player. Players must have there full details on the team card (including fill-ins, unless they
registered in another team.) For full coverage details or to find out how to claim please see centre
noticeboards or look on our website: www.cisc.net.au

GAME FEES: Weekly game fees are $26 for 2’s and $52 for 4’s regardless of numbers taking the
court. Primary & Secondary students receive $1 discount. It is strongly suggested that all teams have 1-2
extra players on their team roster to allow for absenteeism. If only the bare amount of players used, a team
‘kitty’ should be put in place. This can be done by paying a little extra each week.

FORFEIT FEES: Any team that forfeits a game is liable for both teams game fees. If you are
experiencing any difficulties, contact the centre ASAP and we will try to reschedule the game or provide
fill-in players – Please Do Not Forfeit!

FILL-INS: From time to time, all teams may need to use fill-in players. It is the team’s responsibility
to either extract game fees from the fill-ins or to pay a little extra to make up the shortfall in fees. The fill-
in players must be recorded on the team card. If the fill-in is of a higher grade, a 3 run penalty per grade
(to the fill-in’s highest grade) to a maximum of 6 points will be applied to each set. So teams should
choose fill-in players carefully.

BEST SPORT: The umpire will select one player from each game as their ‘GOOD SPORT’. The award
must be used on that day.

UNIFORMS: Matching team shirts must be worn on and from week six (6), after which a three (3)
point penalty per shirt will be deducted. Any major logos or screenprinting is required on all shirts, so it is
handy to have spares.

QUALIFICATION: To qualify for finals, players must play 1/3 of the season’s fixtures i.e. seven (7)
games in a 21-week season. It is the responsibility of the team captain to ensure a sufficient number of
players are qualified for finals.

RULEBOOK: A copy of the ‘Caboolture Indoor Sports Beach Volleyball Rules’ are available on
request.

POINTS: 1 bonus point for a win, 0 pts for a loss. 1 bonus point for each set.

CAPTAINS MUST SIGN THE NOMINATION FORM AS ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES
AND CONDITIONS! IT IS THE CAPTAIN’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE ALL TEAM
                          MEMBERS ARE INFORMED!!!
