                      Pre-Christmas menu available from Saturday 27th November continuing throughout December

                           Pre-Christmas meals are three courses and are finished off with coffee & after dinner mints

STARTERS
Smoked Trout Mouse
Home made smoked trout mouse, rolled in smoked salmon and edged with chives, garnished with crispy salad,
Chicken Liver Parfait
Home made Chicken Liver Parfait, served with toasted ciabatta, salad garnish and home made chutney
Spicy Parsnip ‘Soup
Home made Parsnip soup, lightly spiced, served with Parmesan crisps and warm ciabatta
Asparagus Tips
Asparagus tips wrapped in Parma ham, gently cooked, served with hollandaise sauce
Monkfish Cheek Scampi
Monkfish scampi, served with salad garnish, home made tartar sauce
Fan of Honeydew Melon
Fan of honeydew melon, served with strawberry and finished off with a citrus coulis


MAIN COURSES
All main courses are served with fresh roasted potatoes, parsnips and a selection of seasonal vegetables, unless
otherwise stated.
Turkey
Hand carved Roast Turkey, served with Pork and Apple stuffing, and pig in blanket
Monkfish
Pan seared monkfish, wrapped in Parma ham, served with a King Prawn and white wine emulsion.
Asparagus & Broad Bean Risotto
Home made Fresh asparagus and broad bean risotto, served parmesan crisps and with a salad garnish
Game Pie
A mix of Game meat, cooked until tender with carrots, onion, mushrooms and fennel with red wine and redcurrants, topped off with a puff pastry lid.
Roast Pork
Roasted Loin of Pork with Apricot stuffing, and pig in blanket

Pot Roasted Venison
Venison marinated in red wine with juniper berries, orange, & lemon zest, garlic & Pepper, then cooked slowly in a pot of carrots, onions & celery until tender & Rich



All our food is either home made or sourced locally from our excellent Butcher, Fishmonger, Green Grocer and Bakers

Christmas Pudding
Traditional Christmas pudding served with brandy sauce, cream or custard

Yule Log
Rich chocolate Yule log, served with whipped cream and strawberry garnish

Mince Pie
Rich mince meat served in pastry, with Rum butter, Cream, Ice Cream or custard

Chocolate Orange
Half a fresh orange, flesh scooped out filled with citrus sorbet and topped off with vanilla ice cream, coated in crispy dark chocolate with an orange coulis


Simply Ice cream
Ice cream sundae, served with a mix of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry Ice Cream topped off a big swirl of whipped cream finished off with wafers


Fine Cheese
A selection of fine cheeses from around the world, served with a selection of crackers

                       Christmas meal table bookings can be made between 12:00 and 1.30 pm and 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm

                                                                                                 Deposit Information

   Please include a deposit of £5.00 per person with the completed booking form. The outstanding balance is required on the day.
                                                                                                   Other Information
     If you cancel your party, 10 days notice is required to obtain a refund of your deposits. Unfortunately, if you cancel within 48
                                  hours of your dining date, we will be unable to refund your deposits.
  We would appreciate at least 10 days notice for any changes to the number of guests in your party, to enable us to accommodate
                                                your party to the best of our ability.
                           Menu choices are required 10 days prior to your party date. These can be placed by post or via email
 We reserve the right to rebook your table should you arrive later than 20 minutes of the pre-arranged booking time. Please let us
                                       know if you are running late to avoid this occurring
                                                                  Please note that the Chequers Inn, reserves the right to change or withdraw this menu at any time



   The Chequers Inn does have a car park, however at busy time parking may be difficult. However, if you need a taxi our staff are
  happy to assist you in making this arrangement. We do however, strongly advise our customers book early to ensure availability

Step One:
Call us to check availability. One of our staff members will be happy to help you plan your event.

Complete the booking form with all the details

Step Three
Once you have confirmed availability, secure your table booking with a deposit of £5.00 per person (see over).
visit the Chequers and hand in your completed form and pay your deposit in cash or by debit card.
Post your completed form enclosing your cheque (payable to The Chequers Inn (Battle) Ltd, All cheques must have cleared banking
before your booking is secure. Valid bankers card number, name and address on the back of your cheque. Allow up to 14 days for your
cheque to clear. Once your booking is secure please remember to send us your menu choices 10 days in advance or your booking,
failure to do so may restrict your choices*
