Catalog Description:      A continuation from NURS 101 with the focus on providing care to clients
                          of all ages experiencing normal life processes or common/chronic
                          disease processes in selected body systems.

Prerequisites:            NURS 101/111, BIO 210, PSY 103

Corequisites:             NURS 112, BIO 211, FSC 165

Course Competencies: At the completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Course Expectations
   1. Attend all scheduled classes and activities.

Note: You must achieve a minimum of 75% in your cumulative tests and quiz scores in order for
activity points to count toward your final grade.



Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) Testing

      Three (3) computerized mastery examinations will be administered this quarter.
      In order to demonstrate mastery of content, a percentile score of 55 must be achieved.
      Failure to achieve the designated percentage shall require content-specific remediation.
      Remediation will include ATI on-line unsecured testing that maybe repeated up to five (5)
       times. A score of 60% must be achieved.
      The points available on each ATI test will be allocated on a curved scale basis. Points
       will be curved from the *highest score which shall receive a grade equal to 100%.
      If the designated percentage is not achieved by the end of the quarter, an incomplete “I”
       contract shall be initiated. Failure to clear the “I” grade by the end of the second week of
       the subsequent quarter shall result in the conversion of the “I” to a “C-“ and the student
       will not be allowed to progress.
      Failure to achieve the designated percentage, either on the secured initial test or the
       unsecured remediation test(s) shall result in non-progression.
