During the past few months, District staff have been working on resolving the bugs and usability issues with the on-line catalog
installed earlier this year. We have simplified access to the catalog by improving the search function from the homepage, provi-
ded a direct link to databases from our main navigation bar and eliminated unnecessary prompts to enter your name and library

Most recently we have implemented changes to the request process that make it much easier to request library materials,
including a default to your "home library" for pick-up and a "Request It!" button that allows you to request an item immedi-
ately without having to place the item in your Book Bag. Judging from the comments we have received by mail, email and tele-
phone, these changes have made a tremendous difference for our patrons. We will continue to examine ways to make it even
easier to use our many electronic resources. We appreciate your patience and your constructive comments during this process.
