GRAVIMETRIC S R E UVY
Palmer and Radium Springs Claims, Mile 4 7 , Alaska Highway.
A Gravimetric Survey was carried o u t on the above claims during t h e middle of August, 1967, by ROVING EXPLORATION SERVTCES LTD.. of The survey crew spent two days on the property Calgary, Alberta. A traverse of 9 4 s t a t i o n s being August 16 and August 17 inclusive. spaced a t 100 f o o t i n t e r v a l s was completed.
Field Procedures
A three man survey team was employed consisting of the following personnel r

Elevation and Horizontal Control The t r a v e r s e was i n i t i a t e d f r o m a bench mark on the Con-West access road a t t h e approximate southeast corner of Radium Springs Claim The elevation a t t h i s p o i n t was established by an Altimeter No. 8. loop run from a bridge elevation on t h e Alaska Highway t o t h i s benchmark. Horizontal distance between s t a t i o n s was established by "&.z~h". Horizontal and V G - t i c a l S t a t i o n s were located 100 f e e t a p a r t . angles were obtained on the t r a v e r s e by accepted survey mfiznods. The t r a v e r s e was Elevations were read to a hundredth of a foot. A theodolite was Ittied i n " back t o t h e "take o f f " bench mark. used f o r t h e survey.

Meter Procedures
A Base S t a t i o n was established a t S t a t i o n #27 on t h e traverse l i n e .
Observations were taken a t s t a t i o n s previously established by t h e survey crew. The meter was check?: p r i o r t o s t a r t i n g the survey and was found t o be operating with'acceptable limits. The meter used was a Worden Master, S e r i a l No. 790, with a constant of K = 0.0846 ( 9 ) . Computing Procedures Computing of f i e l d data was conducted by accepted methods. Diurnal Drift was established by repeat observation of the Base D r i f t was then proportionally d i s t r i b u t e d Stations i n the field. A arbitrary n mathematically between s t a t i o n s on each run. prospect correction of 100.00 mgls. was chosen a s being s u i t a b l e The "Base" (Station #27) was t o base observed gravity values on. given t h i s value and a l l other s t a t i o n values a r e r e l a t i v e t o t h i s A d e n s i t y of 2.67 was established f o r the country rock and value. an elevation correction f a c t o r of 0.060 m i l i g a l s p e r f o o t was derived from t h i s density.
A l a t i t u d e correction datum l i n e s was established on a t r u e e a s t A l l l a t i t u d e corrections west bearing through s t a t i o n 0 $ 00. f o r the following s t a t i o n s were corrected mathematically from t h i s point.
Plotting
A horizontal c o n t r o l map was p l o t t e d f o r t h e traverse. used being 1"= 200 f e e t .
Elevation p r o f i l e s were p l o t t e d a s follows: Horizontal 1"= 100 f e e t . Vertical 1"= 100 f e e t . Bouguer p r o f i l e s w e r e p l o t t e d a s follows: Horizontal 1" = 100 f e e t . 1 = 1.00 miligals. " Vertical
The s c a l e
Computing and p l o t t i n g were c a r r i e d o u t by t h e s t a f f of ROVING EXPLORATION SERVICES LTD. i n t h e i r Calgary o f f i c e .
A t r a v e r s e map and Bouguer and elevation p r o f i l e s accompany this report.
