Opera Launches Mobile App Store

While recent news has focused on another third party app store from Amazon, Opera Software
has quietly announced the launch of their own mobile app store. The Opera Mobile Store is
now available in over 200 countries on platforms including Android, BlackBerry, Palm, and        Upcoming Phones
Symbian. Partnering with Appia, the Opera app store features over 140,000 free and paid
applications for smartphones.

Mahi de Silva, EVP of Consumer Mobile at Opera Software said, "the launch of the Opera

Hmm… with Android Market, Amazon Appstore, and now Opera Mobile Store, I
wonder how many apps are really available to the Android OS. Unless they are
the same apps but just repackaged.

there is a lot of apps on there like widget locker and beautiful widgets that are
free… makes me feel like they are stolen

Yeah, if there are paid apps available for free there, then they must be pirated.

Flash and hardware acceleration, huh?

WHAT? I ONLY like buying my stuff from one store! Competition isnt
convienient!
lol. Good news. Im a big fan of Opera browser on PC and hope the Android
version improves as the beta needs some TLC.
