                     July 4th Independence Day
                 Holiday DUI Enforcement Program

The Phoenix Police Department’s Traffic Bureau would like to remind everyone of
the importance of DUI enforcement as we approach this year’s July 4th
Independence Day holiday weekend. As part of our on-going effort to remove
impaired drivers from our City’s streets, we would like to encourage all officers
working during this weekend to take part in our department’s enforcement activities.

The Traffic Bureau will have both DUI Squads deployed citywide in each of the
precincts to assist patrol with processing any impaired drivers arrested from 2000 to
0300 hours. DUI vans and motors officers will be deployed on Sunday, July 4th
and Monday, July 5th from 2000 to 0300 hours as well. All impaired driver arrests
will be reported to Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) and counted as part
                                 of the statewide totals.

To assist in meeting the demands of each precinct, the Traffic Bureau’s DUI Vans
will be deployed in the following locations:

                         Precinct Command Post Locations

Cactus Park: 2710 W. Thunderbird in QT parking lot
Squaw Peak: 1610 E. Highland in QT parking lot
Desert Horizon: 4011 E. Greenway in QT parking lot
Central City: 7th Street and McDowell in Circle K parking lot
South Mountain: 48th Street and Baseline Road in the QT parking lot
Maryvale: 27th Avenue and Thomas in the QT parking lot

Please remind your patrol personnel and encourage them to join us in making
this year’s Independence Day a safe and happy one for all.
