MICRO P TRADE SALES CATALOGUE MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS PRODUCT SCANS Scans can be supplied on CDs or sent e-mail. e-mail - Save as JPG files. - Before converting images to JPG, ensure image is created as CMYK, at 300 dpi and at least 3Mb image size. CDs - A directory to be supplied for easy identification with the route to the file name per product. - Save as minimum 3Mb file size, minimum 300 dpi and constructed as CMYK. ADVERTISEMENTS Repro for catalogue production is digital only. Page sizes Full page/trim: (A4) 210 x 297 mm. Portrait with bleed: 216 x 303 mm. Text area: 196 x 283 mm. File creation - All pages need to be created in A4 portrait size with 3mm bleed. Please include registration marks. - All text should fall within 7mm from all page edges. - Files to be saved in Quark (Mac or PC) with all fonts and all pictures unjpegged, saved as TIF or EPS. - We also accept Corel Draw or Illustrator files. These need to be saved with all fonts or can be exported as EPS, saving text to curves at resolution 300 dpi CMYK. - We also accept PDF files saved at high resolution (minimum size 1Mb. Low resolution visuals PDF files are not acceptable as artwork). All fonts need to be included as the PDF is saved. - Please supply a colour proof for copy content and picture positioning purposes. For particular colour matching purposes only, a high quality (contract proof standard) digital proof must be supplied. GENERAL INFORMATION - Files from applications that are not mentioned should be saved as EPS in preparation for inclusion into the above applications. - All images must be saved as CMYK. RGB is not accepted. - Pantone colours can only be set up using CMYK process colours. - Advice can be provided for any relevant issues not covered.
