 Please Note: This is a sample assessment to give an indication to
 potential ATA Service Maintenance Technicians of what to expect
 during their assessment. It must not be used by Approved Centres
 during actual ATA assessments.

        To demonstrate your vehicle knowledge and vehicle
         inspection techniques
        To record your findings on documentation
        To demonstrate a methodical workshop procedure when
         carrying out a vehicle safety inspection.

 Materials that you need at the workstation:

        Vehicle
        Vehicle Safety Inspection Checklist

 Complete the following tasks and note your results where
 indicated:

 The vehicle that you are about to inspect has just arrived at your
 service centre.

 Carry out all the necessary procedures required to care for the
 vehicle and workshop staff, before, during and after the inspection.

 Carry out a vehicle inspection as detailed in the vehicle safety
 inspection checklist.

 Complete the vehicle safety inspection checklist, reporting all
 vehicle details and any vehicle defects found during the inspection.
