Dear Friends of Saint Dominic School,

Welcome to the 21st Anniversary of St Dominic Annual Auction!

We hope you all enjoy our nostalgic look back this evening and “Remember
When.” I wanted to give special thanks to all the dedicated families who donated
time and talent that has made this evening a sensational night. Our Auction is a
truly unparalleled experience and depicts a story of enthusiastic volunteerism,
generosity, and honest to goodness community spirit and support.

We are deeply grateful to each of you for the benefit of our school to continue to
strive for excellence.

To those of you who worked and worked, how do we say thanks for your
countless hours? To those who contributed a gift, your kindness and
thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Please remember to support those
businesses that support our school.

Thank you all in attendance this evening. Your presence and active participation
is most encouraging. The proceeds received from the Auction this evening will
continue to help us maintain and enhance programs to further our children’s
education.

Once again, God bless you and your families and BID, BID, BID!!!!!

Sincerely,

                                      HOUSE RULES
Registration: Stop at the registration table when you enter to pick up your Auction booklet with bidding number. Keep
your number with you at all times! You cannot bid without this number. We encourage anyone paying by credit card to
register your credit card at registration. This will make your checking out at the end of the evening quicker.

Silent Auction: Silent Auction tables open at 6:30 p.m. and will close at various times throughout the evening. Closing
times will be announced prior to the table closing. Each table will have volunteer table monitors assigned to that table to
assist with any questions. Each silent item has a corresponding bid sheet nearby on the table. Generally bid sheets are in
numerical order and are color coded by table. Bid sheets show the starting bid and raise increments. Guests bid by writing
their bid number next to the bid amount. Each new bid must be written on the bid sheet for the item, and must exceed the
previous bid by at least the minimum raise amount listed on the bid sheet. An authorized Silent Auction volunteer may
disqualify your bid if you are blocking the bidder‟s table prior to the table closing. Bids written in after the closing of the
table will not be valid. In the event that two guests are in the process of bidding on the same item when the table closes, an
auction official may conduct a mini-oral auction between the two bidders. The winning bid/bidder will be noted on the bid
sheet. When the table closes, winning bid numbers are circled by Silent Auction Chairpersons. The bid sheet is sent over to
the bookkeepers for data entry. The Silent Auction Table closing times will begin at 7:45p.m. and will be announced by
color coordinated tables. Items won will be available for pick up at the checkout table. If you are the winning bidder on a
silent item, please do not remove the item from the silent tables. Your items will be brought to the checkout table when you
checkout. (Please, pay close attention to the Starting Bid Amounts, and minimum raise increments.) All sales are final. Bid
sheets are not to be removed from the tables by unauthorized persons at any time. The Auction Committee reserves the
right to move a Silent Auction item into the Live Auction. This right may be exercised if a Silent Auction item is viewed as
being heavily contested.

Live Auction: Live Auction will begin at approximately 9:00 p.m. and continue without interruption until all items have
been auctioned. When bidding, use back of program for bidding and hold up towards the auctioneer. The highest bidder
acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer will
have absolute discretion as to the identification of the successful bidder. ALL SALES ARE FINAL! All items either in the
Silent or Live Auction are sold “AS IS” and there will be no exchange or refund of items except if specifically provided for
in the donation. All winning bids will be recorded on your receipt, which will be tabulated throughout the evening by the
Auction Bookkeepers.

Reserved Bids: Some items have a reserve bid. All reserves will be enforced. Your bid will be disqualified if it is below
the reserve bid. Items with a reserve bid will be clearly marked.

Payment: You must pay for all items you‟ve won at the evening‟s end. When you pay, the Auction Bookkeeper will give
you a receipt. Payment may be made by MasterCard, Visa, Debit Card, Cash or Check payable to Saint Dominic School.
Checkout begins at 9:30p.m. Please check out ONLY ONCE, to keep checkout lines short and moving.

Removal of Items: Once you have paid the Auction Bookkeeper, you will receive a receipt and your items will be
brought to you at the checkout table. All items must be removed from the building at the conclusion of the auction.
Arrangements for the pick up of larger items may be made for tomorrow morning by 9:30 a.m. (inquire at checkout).

Time Limit: All gift certificates and service must be claimed within one calendar year, unless an earlier date is indicated.

Lottery Trees: Lottery Tree entries will be sold 2 feet of tickets for $10.00. This item will be drawn prior to the start of
the live auction. All participants must be present at the time of the drawing to claim their prize. If a ticket is drawn and not
claimed a subsequent ticket will be drawn and so on until the prize is claimed.

50/50 Drawing: Entries will be sold 1 yard of tickets for $20.00. Drawing to be held prior to the start of the Live
Auction. All participants must be present at the time of the drawing to claim their prize. If a ticket is drawn and not
claimed a subsequent ticket will be drawn and so on until the prize is claimed.

Teacup Drawing: Tickets are $20 for 20 tickets. Drop tickets into the corresponding receptacle jar of the item. Drawings
will take place prior to the Live Auction. All participants must be present at the time of the drawing to claim their prize. If
a ticket is drawn and not claimed a subsequent ticket will be drawn and so on until the prize is claimed.
