                                    Still time to register for Quickbooks courses

Beginning and intermediate courses in “Quickbooks Pro 2008 for Business of Office” will be
offered this fall by the Rogue Community College Small Business Development Center.

The beginning class is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 3-22.
Designed for students who know how to use a computer, navigate in Windows/Vista, and have
some accounting knowledge, the class covers sales and accounts receivables, bank deposits,
inventory, labor charges, invoicing, statements, purchasing, accounts payable, bank
reconciliation, customized reports and payroll.

Cost of the class is $219. Students are advised to bring a 256 mb or larger thumb drive or
rewritable CD on which to save their work.

The intermediate class is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 24-25.
Prerequisites include basic knowledge of QuickBooks and accounting principles. Topics include
tracking inventory in QuickBooks, job costing, finding and correcting errors, advanced payroll,
importing and exporting to Excel, Word, and other QuickBooks company files and more. The
cost is $99.

Instructor Jack Hillman is a certified QuickBooks Pro advisor, co-owner and bookkeeper for the
Subshop, and owner of a QuickBooks consulting business.

Classes meet at the RCC Small Business Development Center, 214 SW 4th St., Grants Pass.
