 Auction Rules & Procedures

Silent Auction
All items in the Silent Auction have bid sheets. To bid, write
your bidder number (legibly) and your bid amount. To
constitute a valid bid, each new bid must exceed the previous
bid by the minimum increment listed on the bid sheet. The new
bid entry must be on the next available line on the bid sheet.
Please leave the bid sheet in its place on the table for
everyone‘s use. The tables in the Silent Auction will close at
the auctioneer‘s call. Upon closing, bid sheets will be removed
from the tables and no further bids will be accepted. The
highest valid bid (or bids for multiple winner items) at closing
constitutes the winner(s). If two or more people are actively
bidding on an item when the auction closes it is the
responsibility of the bidders to stay by the item and advise the
staff collecting the bid sheets that they wish to have a ―bid off‖.
Bidding will continue until a winning bidder is determined.

Live Auction

highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the
winning bidder. In the event of any dispute, the auctioneer will
determine the winner.

after the Live Auction has ended. All items must be picked up

                        Phantom Bidding Sheet
For those of you who cannot attend the auction but would still like to bid on
your favorite items, we are offering ―Phantom Bidding‖. You can fill out the
sheet below specifying the item(s) you would like and the maximum amount
you are willing to pay. One of our expert bidders will monitor the items you
want to bid on, increasing the amount at a reasonable rate until you either win
or get outbid.

Just fill out the information below, sign at the bottom and we‘ll take care of the
rest. One person will be assigned to all of your items, so if you have an overall
amount you don‘t want to exceed, please provide that information as well. In
order for us to properly monitor the total amount you do not wish to exceed,
please list items in order of priority. Although we can‘t promise success — at
least you‘ll have a chance to bid on your gotta-have-it favorite items! You will
be notified within two days of the auction if you have won to arrange for
payment and receipt of your items.

Turn in sheets to the ticket box in the main office at Sandpiper. They must be
received no later than Friday, November 5 at 10:00 am. Please be sure to
sign your name at the bottom. Unsigned Phantom Bidding Sheets will not
be considered.

We are excited to offer this option to you and are grateful that you
acknowledge with your signature below that all sales are final and auction rules
and procedures apply.
