•	   GE Transportation announced that Mongolian Railways has taken
     delivery and completed testing of its first Evolution® Series Locomotive
     produced at GE Transportation’s Erie, Pennsylvania, USA, manufacturing
     site. The Evolution Locomotive is the most technologically advanced
     diesel-electric, heavy-haul locomotive to-date. Mongolian Railways
     leases locomotives and railcars to railway companies in Mongolia. The
     Evolution Series Locomotive will be leased to Ulaanbaatar Railway to
     increase hauling capability while reducing costs due to the Evolution’s

•	   GE Healthcare introduced the new Venue™ ultrasound product line to
     the medical market. The Venue 40, the first product launched, provides
     visualization for needle guidance procedures and rapid diagnostics in
     real-time at the bedside. These “point of care” settings are the fastest
     growing in ultrasound around the world. In the U.S., these applications
     grew an average of 30 percent per year over the past four years, as cited
     in a recent 2008 industry report issued by Klein Biomedical Consultants,
     an internationally recognized source of ultrasound market trends.

•	   GE Healthcare is providing digital medical record technology for the
     Jane Pauley Community Health Center (Indianapolis). The center, which
     opened September 23, is a unique collaboration between Community
     Health Network and the Metropolitan School District of Warren Township.
     Housed inside a school, the facility advances the complete care concept
     by providing schools, hospitals, specialists and primary care physicians
     with secure access to their patient’s medical records through GE’s

•	   Weighing only 2.2 pounds, the USM Go is the lightest and most portable
     ultrasonic flaw detector available from GE Sensing & Inspection
     Technologies. The USM Go is designed for ease of prolonged operation
     in the harshest inspection environments in the oil and gas, aerospace,

•	   GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms, a unit of GE Enterprise Solutions,
     announced the RES-210 Rugged Ethernet Switch. Designed for
     demanding applications that will be deployed in harsh environments –
     such as on board military platforms that are subject to high altitudes,
     vibration, shock, temperature extremes, humidity and salt fog – the
     RES-210 is one of the smallest, lightest 10-port fully managed Layer
     2/3+ Gigabit Ethernet switches available, making it ideal for size/weight

•	   GE unveiled itsyoursmartgrid.com, an interactive and informative Web site designed to educate consumers about
     the holistic benefits of a smarter grid. This announcement came on the first day of GridWeek, the premier smart grid
     conference being held in Washington, D.C., where policymakers, utility executives, academics and industry leaders
     gathered to discuss the broad implications and benefits of a smarter grid. The material on itsyoursmartgrid.com has

•	   GE Smart Grid Technologies has been selected to address outage issues in India. Part of India’s growing power demands
     will soon be met with smart grid technologies that improve efficiency and reliability for businesses and consumers.
     North Delhi Power Limited (NDPL) announced it would become the first major utility in India to realize the performance
     advantages of an advanced outage management system (OMS). According to the International Energy Agency, India’s
     energy demand will more than double by 2030, potentially increasing the frequency of power outages even in the most
     developed areas of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. These outages would have a significant impact on the economy and,
     as a result, the government of India is looking to smart grid technologies to improve the efficiency and the economic
     stability of the country’s power sector. GE’s PowerOn* OMS will be integrated with the previously installed GE Energy
     Smallworld* geospatial information system (GIS) and NDPL’s existing distribution management system to drive power

•	   GE has signed an agreement to help bring the performance, efficiency and reliability gains of smart grid technology to
     Korea. GE will work together with Korea’s NURI Telecom Ltd. to build an advanced smart grid infrastructure in Korea.
     Through industry collaborations, GE will deliver one of the broadest portfolio offerings in the industry to modernize the
     electrical systems from the power plant to the consumer. Full Text Here

•	   GE announced the completion of the acquisition of ScanWind. With this move, GE has expanded its portfolio of
     renewable energy offerings to better serve customers. ScanWind is a developer of advanced drive train and control wind
     turbine technologies aimed at offshore deployment. ScanWind was founded to develop and commercialize advanced
     drive train wind turbine technology that eliminates the need for gearboxes. The ScanWind turbine technology will join
     GE’s family of wind turbines that includes the GE 1.5-megawatt series, the most widely deployed wind turbine in the

•	   GE Energy has signed an agreement to supply up to 101 of its 2.5xl wind turbines to CEZ Romania for Cogealac, the
     second phase of the Fantanele wind project. When both phases are completed, they will create the largest onshore wind
     farm in Europe. CEZ Romania is part of CEZ Group, the largest utility in Central Europe. Full Text Here

•	   GE Energy signs service agreements with customers looking to maximize performance in close to 1000 megawatts (MW)
     of wind turbines. North American GE 1.5 megawatt (MW) wind turbine owners and operators are benefiting from the
     flexibility and scope that GE Energy’s wind service program provides. The company recently signed three customized
     operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements for projects encompassing over 600 1.5-megawatt (MW) wind turbines
     located in diverse environments across North America. Designed to help customers maximize the return on their wind
     turbine investment, GE’s service program is customizable on both a fleet-wide and site-specific level. Full Text Here

•	   GE Oil & Gas has announced that it has signed an agreement with Storengy, a GDF Suez Group company dedicated to
     the underground storage of natural gas, to supply four Integrated Compressor Line (ICL) units for the expansion of two
     facilities in France. GE will provide one ICL unit for the Céré La Ronde site near Tours and three units for the Saint Illiers
     site near Paris. The ICL units will be shipped from GE Oil & Gas facilities in Le Creusot, France at the end of 2010, and will
     be installed at the project sites in mid-2011. Full Text Here

•	   GE Oil & Gas announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Ltd., a
     subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation, with subsea production equipment for Kizomba Satellites, a new deepwater oil

     GE Capital Finance
•	   GE Capital’s Healthcare Financial Services business ended the first six months of 2009 as one of the most active capital
     providers in the U.S. healthcare market, deploying approximately $1 billion for more than 45 transactions. Loans were
     used to refinance existing debt, support working capital needs and fund growth initiatives. Full Text Here

•	   GE Capital, Corporate Retail Finance announced it acted as co-collateral agent for a $403 million asset-based credit
     facility to BCBG Max Azria Group, a leading designer, retailer and distributor of women’s apparel and accessories. The
     loan will be used for working capital needs. The facility may be increased up to $450 million if certain conditions are met.
     Designer-businessman Max Azria formed Vernon, CA-based BCBG in 1989, and now has more than 13,500 retail and
     wholesale points of sale worldwide. Full Text Here

•	   GE Capital, Corporate Finance announced it led a $200 million asset-based credit facility to Sotheby’s (NYSE: BID), a
     leading provider of art auctions, private sales and art-related financing. GE Capital Markets served as lead arranger. The
     loan will be used for working capital needs. Founded in 1744, NY-based Sotheby’s is an auctioneer of fine art, antiques,
     jewelry and collectibles primarily in the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and France. Full Text Here

•	   GE Capital, Corporate Retail Finance announced it acted as collateral agent on a $200 million asset-based credit facility
     for Quiksilver (NYSE:ZQK), a leading retail apparel and footwear manufacturer. The loan, which was previously announced
     by the company, will be used for working capital needs. GE Capital Markets served as co-lead arranger. Quiksilver, based
     in Huntington Beach, CA, is an outdoor sports lifestyle company, which designs, produces and distributes a diversified
     mix of branded apparel, footwear, accessories and related products. The company’s products are sold in over 90

•	   GE Capital, Corporate Finance announced it is administrative agent for a $151 million asset-based credit facility to
     Kumho Tire U.S.A., Inc., the U.S. distributor of South Korea-based Kumho Tire Co., Inc. GE Capital Markets served as
     co-lead arranger. The loan will be used for working capital needs. Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Rancho
     Cucamonga, CA, Kumho Tire U.S.A. is the U.S. distribution arm of Kumho Tire Co., the Seoul, South Korea manufacturer
     and distributor of tires for passenger cars, trucks and other vehicles. Full Text Here

•	   Regency Energy Partners LP (Nasdaq: RGNC), Alinda Capital Partners LLC and GE Energy Financial Services announced
     plans to construct a $47 million pipeline extension of the Haynesville Expansion Project in North Louisiana to increase
     capacity on the Regency Intrastate Gas System (“RIGS”). The extension – called the Red River Lateral – will add
     approximately 100,000 MMbtu/d of capacity to the current project, bringing the total project capacity to approximately
     1.2 Bcf/d. Full Text Here

•	   GE Capital, Franchise Finance announced that it provided a $4 million credit
     facility enabling RDSL to acquire and develop seven Jack in the Box franchise
     restaurants in greater Dallas. GE Capital only took two and a half weeks to
     approve and close the deal with RDSL. RDSL currently owns and operates 19
     Jack in the Box franchise units in the Dallas and Southern Oklahoma areas.

•	   GE Capital announced that GE Capital Business Process Management
     Services Private Limited, a joint venture company between GE Capital and
     State Bank of India for credit card operations, has won ‘Asia’s Best Mature
     Captive Services Delivery’ award from the Shared Services Outsourcing
     Network at the 12th Annual Asian Shared Services & Outsourcing week in

     NBC Universal
•	   It was another huge night for NBC Universal at the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards as the NBC
     network again won 16 combined Emmys, including five for “30 Rock,” which was the most-honored
     series on any broadcast or cable network at this year’s awards. “30 Rock” also claimed its third, back-to-
     back win as Outstanding Comedy Series giving NBC a win in that category for the past four years. NBC
     also tied HBO for the most wins of the evening with five. Full Text Here
Ratings highlights:
•	   The opening week of “The Jay Leno Show” averaged 11.9 million viewers overall, winning its time
     period on all five nights in adults 18-49, all five nights in adults 25-54 and four of five nights in total
     viewers. While initial sampling on The Jay Leno Show has been outstanding, NBC’s focus with the
     new series continues to be its performance over the full 52-week broadcast year.

•	   The Titans-Steelers game on NBC Sports was the most watched NFL Kickoff since the inception of
     the Thursday Night opener according to official national ratings data released by Nielsen Media
     Research. The game had an average audience of 20.9 million viewers. The game had the biggest
     audience for any sporting event since Super Bowl XLIII, which was the most watched broadcast in U.S.
     television history. The Titans-Steelers game was also the most watched of any primetime show on any
     broadcast network since the American Idol finale (28.8 million on 5/20/09). Full Text Here

•	   The September 20th Giants-Cowboys game on NBC Sports was the most-watched ever for a Sunday
     Night Football game and the most-watched NFL primetime regular season game in 12 years. The
     Giants victory, in the unveiling of the new Cowboys Stadium, drew 24.8 million viewers, nearly
     doubling the viewership for the Emmy awards. Full Text Here

•	   With a top-scoring NFL telecast and potent numbers from the season finale of “America’s Got Talent,”
     the season debuts of “The Biggest Loser” and “The Office” and the series premieres of “Community”
     and “The Jay Leno Show,” NBC dominated the primetime week of September 14-20 in adults
     18-49 and total viewers, averaging a 3.7 rating, 11 share in 18-49 and 11.6 million viewers overall,
     according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. NBC also won the week in all key
     demographic ratings measures – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. Full Text Here

•	   “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” was the most-watched evening news broadcast of the
     2008-09 season, according to Nielsen Media Research data. For the season, “NBC Nightly News”
     averaged 8.609 million total viewers, a +10% advantage over ABC “World News’”, and +42% more than
     “CBS Evening News.’” “Nightly” has now won 13 consecutive seasons in total viewers. Full Text Here

•	   After the September 22 season finale of “Warehouse 13,” it is now the all-time SyFy leader in total
     viewers (4.1 million), adults 25-54 (2.1 million) and household ratings (2.9), as measured by 7-Day
     DVR data, making it the most successful series in Syfy’s 17-year history. Full Text Here

•	   Telemundo ended the 2008-09 broadcast season as the fastest growing network among all major
     broadcast networks regardless of language in general market primetime among total viewers,

•	   GE Energy announced that its ecomagination-certified Jenbacher biogas
     engines have begun powering China’s largest chicken waste biogas-energy
     plant. The plant, which began operating in July, supports China’s national
     economic and environmental goals to increase local energy reliability
     and improve air and water quality. The Minhe Animal Husbandry facility’s
     three-megawatt (MW) chicken waste biogas power generation project
     is located six kilometers south of Penglai City in Shandong Province. The
     plant features three of GE’s 1-MW, JMS320 Jenbacher engines, which are
     generating electricity for the local grid. The site’s new biogas plant features
     an anaerobic digester system that consumes 300 tons of manure and 500
     tons of wastewater daily. The resulting digester biogas is then delivered to
     GE Energy’s durable Jenbacher engines to generate electricity for the 19,000
     square-meter complex, as well as the local grid. Residual material in the
     digester can later be used as fertilizer. Full Text Here
