Colonel Don Adams is the Deputy Director_ Policy and Plans

									Colonel Don Adams is the Deputy Director, Policy and Plans, Defense Continuity and Crisis Management
office within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas’
Security Affairs. He is responsible for policy development and execution planning continuity and crisis
management activities within the Department of Defense in support of DoD and national programs.
Colonel Adams is a career Air Force ICBM officer who has served in a variety of staff and operational
assignments. He commanded a Transportation Squadron, a Missile maintenance Squadron, and served
as the Deputy Maintenance Group Commander of an ICBM Wing. Prior to assuming his current duties in
the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Colonel Adams graduated from the National War College.

Colonel Adams' presentation will address H1N1 (a.k.a. Swine Flu) policy development and response
planning in the Department of Defense.
