Rory Darwin Coby, 53
       Rory Darwin Coby, 53, of McDermitt, Nevada and also Fort
Hall, Idaho, entered into rest Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the
Portneuf Medical Center West Campus in Pocatello.
       He was born March 13, 1957 in Owyhee, Nevada to Richard
Carlton and Julia Anne Harney Coby.
       Rory lived most of his adult life in McDermitt, Nevada where
he worked for Humboldt County School District as a custodian and retired in 2007.
       He enjoyed leather and bead work, hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors and riding
his ATV. He played the guitar and was a member of Stateline Strangers Band.
       He is survived by his Mother, Julia Coby of Gibson; Marlene “Molly” Brown, companion
for over 20 years of McDrmitt, Nevada and her mother, Charlotte Brown; sister, Jocelyn Coby of
Gibson, nieces, Ro’Jera Coby of Gibson and Saresa Coffee of Fort Hall; nephews, Shawn
(Maria) Coby of Tremonton, UT, Jeremy Coby, Mikeel Coffee and Berton Coffee all of Fort Hall
and many other extended family members from Fort Hall, ID., Owyhee and McDermitt, NV.
       He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Coby and a sister, Phyllis Julene Coby.
       A private family service will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 in Fort Hall. Rory will then
be transported to Owyhee, Nevada for burial service on Monday. A traditional lunch will begin
at 11:00 a.m. and services will begin at 1:00 p.m. then interment will follow in the     New
Cemetery, Owyhee, Nevada.
       Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home and condolences
