Construction must comply with the 2000 International Residential Code for One and Two Family Dwellings and the 1999 National Electric Code (NEC 70A) and meet local building requirements.. The inspector shall verify that the house has been built in accordance with the certified plans, specifications, and code.

Floor Insulation: Crawl space floors and basement ceilings with baseboard heat are insulated to R-19. All basement ceiling with ENERGY EFFICIENT OPTION to be insulated to R-19 or basement walls furred and insulated to min. R-13 ., All bandjoists insulated to R-19. N Windows: Dual paned glazing N Doors: Insulated steel door, solid wood door, or a hollow core door with storm door that is 11/4 inches thick and has operable glazing with insect screen (screen door not acceptable). Walls: R-19 with vapor barrier (vapor barrier towards the inside of the house).
