CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS AS A WAY OF EXPRESSING YOUR
KNOWLEDGE OF ROMEO AND JULIET AND THE CONCEPTS COVERED

     1. Eulogy: Write a eulogy in memory of one of the departed characters from the play with
        appropriate attention to detail and character.

     2. Poetry: Write a poem or song in which you tell the detailed story of Romeo and Juliet

     3. Alternate Ending: If you could change one crucial moment in the play rewrite the
        ending of the play from that moment on and explore how it would affect the outcome of
        the play.

     4. Slang: Rewrite a scene from the play in slang, change the setting etc. and rewrite the
        lines appropriately in modern slang

     5. Sound Track: List 5-10 songs (title and artist) that you would align as the sound track
        for the play. Choose songs to appropriately convey the mood and meaning of specific
        scenes in the play and give a written explanation of why you chose each song.

     6. A Visual: Draw a significant scene from the play or a character with important elements.
        On the reverse side of the illustration write a one page explanation of what you chose to
        illustrate and why.

     7. Theme or Character Collage: Create a collage of words, pictures, symbols, quotes, etc.
        from Romeo and Juliet to illustrate concepts the play addresses or characters from the
        play. Include a one page explanation of your collage, the images included and your
        reasons for choosing such images. (For example: Love, Death, Family, Fate, Destiny,
        Lies, etc.)

     8. Video: Create a short film or movie trailer representing key scenes in Romeo and Juliet.
        This film should reflect your knowledge of the play and it’s major themes. If completed
        as a group, students must memorize at least 15 lines from the play each. A written
        explanation of the visuals and scenes presented in the video must accompany it.
