Tips on using a digital camera
1. Press the shutter release button halfway to allow the camera to set the auto focus and
auto exposure. When the green light is steady, press the shutter the rest of the way. This
will reduce the shutter lag to a minimum.
2. Use the self-timer to reduce camera shake induced by pressing the shutter button
3. Use the LCD monitor to frame pictures accurately, especially close-ups
4. Know your camera focusing limits for normal and macro distances
5. Use the viewfinder as much as possible to extend battery life
6. Use the highest rated NiMH AA batteries you can find – say 2300 mAh
7. Carry an extra set of batteries. You just never know…
8. Also carry an extra flash memory card just in case one becomes corrupt
9. Fill up the flash card rather than deleting photos after each photo shoot. Then format the
card in the camera. This should help prevent card corruption.
Organizing your photos
1. Windows Explorer.
2. Adobe Photoshop Album 2 (included in Photoshop Elements 3)
3. Picasa2
