							Spring ’08 Board Meeting 1: Minutes for Members                            1/29/08

  Overview of AMA Board Meeting: Held in Room BEH 418. The following is a brief recap
  on what was discussed Tuesday, January 29, 2008.
           Those who attended included: Jimmy Lee, Gina Mizzoni, Theresa Boucher, Brandon
            Henderson, Equilla Hill and Grace Small
           Vice President Agenda: Gina Mizzoni (10 minutes)
               o Finalized Board Meetings:
                      Every Tuesday at 8am in BEH 418
                      If you have an 8:30am class then you must communicate this to Gina
                       and you will be allowed to have the floor first.
               o Weekly Progress Reports: Be PROACTIVE and accomplish this!
                         Due not later than Sunday morning at 6am
                              Gina will be sending out a template for this:
                                       Weekly updates on completed projects, current projects,
                                        suggestions for the Board Meeting, etc.
           Membership Agenda: Jenn Bianchi (5 minutes)
              o General Member Meeting:
                      February 13th at 7:00pm
                      Brandon will be contacting Paradise Cantina to reserve a spot for
                       this event.
               o Updated membership list from Nationals
                     Brandon has prepared database
                        Grace has put together copies of apps and will enter these into the
                         database
                     Grace is also preparing a Membership folder for Jenn as the new
                         VP of Membership
                     Brandon will be meeting with Jack tomorrow to receive check for
                         Nationals in order to send in apps for processing with AMA.
               o Every member should be checking their email at least once a day to
                 ensure that they are staying current with communications between Board.
           Programming Agenda: Brandon Henderson (15 minutes)
               o Successful results form recruitment tables:
                     Received a number of applications for new members
                     Promoted events which increased AMA’s presence on campus
               o Completed Job Shadow Proposal for Anita and Professional Chapter
                     WAY TO GO! It looks awesome!
          Will be distributed to Anita and AMA at tonight’s (1/29/08) mixer
           with the Professional Chapter at Polyester’s
          Will ask permission for members to contact their own mentors, may be
           a good way to recruit for the Professional Chapter
          Friday, Februry 22nd
               Will meet in room in Student Union
               If members wish to become involved, they must RSVP
               Grace will be sending evites for this as soon as we get a
                confirmation from Professional Chapter.
o Promotion tables for Hispanic Marketing event:
          Wednesday 1/30/08 and Thursday 1/31/08 from 10am until 2.
        Brandon will send out emails reminding members when they are
         to be involved
      Please be careful not to offend anyone while promoting the event.
o Hispanic Marketing Event
      Thursday, 1/31/08, 4:00pm – 7:30pm
          All Board Members who are able to attend are EXPECTED TO
           BE THERE
          Brandon will reserve the video camera at the library and Grace
        will provide the tapes
     Grace will contact Cross and Krishen about providing extra credit
        regarding attending this event
o Meeting evaluation forms:
     We can download these from the marketingpower.com website
     Important in order to increase the quality of events through direct
        feedback of members

                     Need updated versions of bios and resumes ASAP
                     Board photos will be updated by those taken at the Retreat
                     Need group photo of case team ASAP

           Hispanic Marketing Event. Booth will be open from 10am until 2pm. Held in
           Student Union. Stop by to support your organization!


          Thursday, January 31st Hispanic Marketing Event with Speaker Ray Garza, CEO
           of the Hispanic Agency and Producer at the Las Vegas Studios International and Alex
           Inda, Account Executive from Univision
              o Held in Student Union/MSU Building Room 209 from 4:00pm until
                7:30pm


          Saturday, February 2nd Website Committee Meeting held in MSU Building Room
           218 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. All Members interested in Website Design, Internet
           Marketing, etc. is welcome to attend!


          Tuesday, February 5th AMA Board Meeting held in BEH Building Room 418 from
           8am until 9:30am.
