Click on ND on USA map. Select county. Select the practice of interest. Select the most applicable practice (the scenario most like yours). Enter the units (practice extent/size).
Step 4 is selecting a practice description that resembles your scenario. Two choices are shown in this example.
The rate is calculated automatically when criteria is entered. In this scenario, the unit cost is 6 cents per foot.
The rate increases when the size of the practice is reduced;
6 cents/ft for 3300’ versus 10 cents/ft for 1600’.
Producers can only get T.A. payment for program-eligible items included in an approved contract. Posted NTE rates don’t tell you what’s eligible for a given program.
Recommendation for TSPs:
Charge producers what you need to provide quality service, even if your rate is higher than the NTE rate.
Payment assignment:
must first report work applied by submitting Form AD-1161 to NRCS. Producer may assign his/her Technical Assistance payment to a certified TSP. Submit Form CCC-36 to NRCS, it requires signature of both the producer (assignor) and the assignee (TSP).
